Hello, and welcome to your course in day to day leadership. I'm Dr. Mike clean, and I'll be your tutor for this course. I've run very similar courses many times in the real world, with supervisors, team leaders, and first line managers all across the UK. And this is, I could say without a doubt, one of my most popular courses at the end of it, new team leaders, new supervisors feel they've got a set of tools, which will enable them to really make the best of their teams. This course is divided into six sections. So let's briefly go through what you can expect.

The first section you've already started that is the introductory section. And in this section, we'll look at what are the challenges that you you're experiencing in your day to day leadership. Or if you're not yet in that leadership role, what are the challenges you anticipate and would like to be able to deal with. In the second section, I'll introduce you to a powerful idea, Situational Leadership. This is the fundamental approach that we'll be taking throughout this course. It's an easy technique to master.

And we'll work at it bit by bit as we go through the program. And we'll get you started with two practical and engaging exercises, which will help you to start to think about the way that you lead in your workplace today. In Section three, I'll give you a practical model that you can use and apply. It's easy, it's straightforward, and I'll give you two more practical exercises so that you can start to understand how to use it, get some practice and feel that you can apply it in the real world. In Section four, I'll give you some more skills to complement the core that you've already developed. These will help you to be a confident and effective day to day leader.

In Section five, I've added some bonus material. It's not core to the content of this course. And if you're in a rush, you don't need to absorb it. But if you're enjoying the content of this course, and you want some more, to further develop your thinking and your ideas, then do take a look at the bonus content. And I'll be trying to add to it from time to time. Fine.
