Tension and obstacles are the heartbeats of any dope ass script. Without them it’s a wrap, you can forget about it. If your story sucks it’s likely that you are missing tension and obstacles. Creating conflict is the best way to think about creating tension and obstacles and whether you’re writing a drama, action, or comedy script, the key to doing this is you constantly assessing whether your main character is experiencing enough challenges in their way of getting what they want.
After you watch the video be sure to make a list of obstacles big and small that your main character (protagonist) can experience so that you can apply to your tv script.
