DESCRIPTION:
When writing dialogue, it must serve two purposes:

Reveal some information about the general storyline or any of the characters
Move the story forward

Most importantly, use scenes and dialogue to show us not to tell us. Yep, that's right, the dialogue is not meant for your character to tell us, "I'm so angry", but rather how can they convey this with their actions and how they are talking to the other people in the scene.
Review your favorite TV shows and begin to pay attention to dialogue and how the elements taught in this section come into play.
