Alright, let's walk through how to change your macronutrient targets in My Fitness Pal. Now that you've signed up, you've logged in and everything, you've set your goals, you can click on the goals link here. And that'll take you to an area where it lists out your daily nutrition goals in terms of calories based on what you entered. And it has this pre determined macronutrient breakdown of 50% carbs, 30% fat and 20% protein. Now, if you want to modify those, which I would personally do this for myself, because I would want to eat a little bit more protein for this type of target, and then maybe go a little bit lower in the carbs. So I would balance this out to maybe about a third each instead of 50 3020 split.
You can also edit your fitness goals here. And the micronutrients, I wouldn't really worry about that That's kind of minutia, but here your your macronutrients and and how they're your daily calories are broken down, you might want to change this target these targets so so this how you do that just click the Edit button and there's your your calories and you're just going to set it by changing the percentages of carbohydrates fat and protein. Now, if you want to change it by setting grams for each macronutrient, you have to register for this premium version of My Fitness Pal, which I don't think is necessary. I think you can just do it with the percentages here. So let's say you want to, you want to take your carbs down from 50 to 40%. You want to bring your protein up to 30% and then your fat you can keep it at 30% so it totals up to 100.
There you see how your your grams automatically changed. So now instead of targeting 200 and something grams of carbs, you're lowering at 167 you increase your protein target to 125. And then everything you know recalculates based on your target calories. So, so that's how to change your macronutrient target, your daily nutrition goals and My Fitness Pal. Then when you're ready, you can just click save changes and it will save it there for you and these so these are your new goals now.
