All right, if you've made it this far, you're over halfway through. Congratulations. We are having a lot of fun today with this beach illustration. And we are over halfway done. All right, I'm reaching back into grab some orange. And I'm going to continue working on this each ball.

Put a little orange here. If you suspect something's not completely dry, just leave a little white line around the edge. And then I'm also going to use this orange on her swimsuit here. And then I'm going to grab some blue for the last few snowsuit areas. Just a bright, happy blue. Try to come all the way up against the line of her skin.

So there's no white unless you intend there to be. Adding a yellow area here and I'll leave a little white space next to the orange because we know that's not dry. And I'll make this last spot purple. So mix up a nice purple. Start left to right. So there's nothing on your hand as you move over.

Unless of course you're left handed and then opposites are the right if you're left handed. And here's where I need to leave a little bit of highlight. Seeing around the wave of that beach ball. Alright, lastly, we have some black areas to paint here I'm going to take a really dark, almost black, gray and work with that because we still need to come back in for shading. And I want us to be able to see the black shading. Anytime you need more control, just draw your brush And that will really help to be more precise.

And then we have the center area the eye. Make sure you leave your little white.in the middle. That's what's going to really make this fun. Good. Now we're ready to lay in our shadows. So let's start just like we did before with the skin.

You're going to dip into that same color, maybe remix it if you need to make it a little bit darker if you need to. It should be a dark reddish brown. And then we're just going to paint maybe just on the edges. And anywhere there might be a shadow like right underneath here. There'd be a shadow of her Cloete. Make sure we register that Anytime you accidentally get your hand in the paint, that's fine.

Just wipe it off. Touch it up if you need to. No problem. Okay, so here I know there would be a shadow under her hand and around here as much as possible, try to make these smooth and even shapes rather than jumpy or jagged. Even if it means exaggerating a little bit what the shadow would actually be, that's fine. For instance, rather than just go around the edges, I'm going to completely fill in this area of her shoulder because that's kind of in the background other than a little high.

Like we added and then I'm going to stop it with a little clavicle Mark like so, doing our whole neck. Again down to the clavicle. A little boob shading. And down here that's it. I'm going to shade up and around her sunglasses and underneath her hair. Same thing on this side.

You don't really have to paint in the nose. It's probably the least important part of your fashion illustration. Just kind of quickly lay in the colors. here most of her back arm will be shaded ending in a clavicle. And most of this back arm will be shaded. And then up and under to her wrist.

And then here is where you want to really delicately put in the shadow between the fingers. Don't worry about being too defined. Just so you get the idea she's holding glass with her hand. That's fine. Don't worry about shading every single part, sometimes less is more. So I'm not going to shade here but just on the left.

Keeping these as clean and smooth as possible. I'm also going to shade our hair. So grab some more light tan Be a little bit yellow in there. And what we already have will be the highlight so I'm just making more shadow leaving some white area for added interest here. That is important. Alright and then we're going to shade our Flamingo friend so mixed up kind of a darker pink color than what you're using and come in underneath on the bottom area anywhere there would be a shadow.

Or if you have a dimple definitely add some definition there. Doesn't have to be around all the edges but just make some fun little shapes. anywhere you want to recede into the background, you can paint the whole area like here or here also around the inner edge and where this scene would be is a good place to paint. Doesn't have to be the whole area. It's actually nicer if you just pick your spots and he's your discretion. to shade a little bit around this inner edge and a little bit here so that's pretty much it for the floaty and the drinks done.

And the sunglasses we will define a little bit in the last stage but the balloons still need a little bit of work. So grab your original color, tone darker and just kind of cradle the bottom of the sheet with some shadow focusing on rounded shapes here going to do the same for the yellow. Obviously yellow doesn't get much darker so if you want to add a little bit of orange for the shadow please do makes it a little more interesting. I'm going to shade behind where that ball might cast a shadow and underneath like so. This is more difficult. So here, we're going to shade each color.

I'm going to start with the orange since I already kind of have it on my brush. We'll see the orange. We'll wait for it to dry. We'll shade the pink wait for that to dry. And then we'll go to our purple one add a little purple to my pink to make the shadow darker started over here. Make sure you line up the edges.

So I've stopped that last shadow about here we want them to line up. But I'm also going to leave a little space in between because my orange is not dry. Okay and then into the purple, which will have to be quite dark. Adding a little blue to it. If it's too dark, that's fine. Take it off your brush, go lighter, try again.

No problem. That's the very edge, lining it up with my pink and there we have the shadow. And at this point we are done with the paint. You can put your paints away and join me for the last portion where we will use a paper mate. flare pen medium to finish the drawing
