Hello and welcome back. In this topic, I'm going to be talking about the physical effects that smoking has on us. Now spoken previously about how we go from that first cigarette that we don't like to teaching ourselves to smoke. And during this learning process, we're teaching our body to build a tolerance or immunity to the initial physical effects that we experience when we first start smoking. Then the more we smoke, the more these very visible and obvious effects that we had originally, such as coughing, a lot more lightheadedness starts to reduce over time. And before we know it from we go from smoking one cigarette a day to a pack, or a few packs a day.

So what is physically happening to us when we smoke. Now, I'm not a doctor, so I'm not going to go into everything that happens in your body, during and as a result of smoking. And the only bit I wish to talk about from the list of toxins that you're taking in when you smoke those deadly fumes, the one and only drugs That you are addicted to his nicotine. Now I'm sure this probably doesn't come as much of a surprise to you at all. You're probably thinking, yep, I know. That is what I'm addicted to.

That's what that's what's in my cigarettes. And that's why I wanted to talk about it. Nicotine is an addictive drug. Through withdrawal from nicotine begins the moment that you exhale the smoke from your body that withdraw builds until you give your body that next hit. This happens each time you inhale or between each cigarette the half. So I want you to think about what does the physical withdrawal from nicotine feel like?

Is it painful? Or you rolling around on the floor in agony? Because you need to you need to have it. You need to stop that pain. Well, no, is the answer on of course, there's no painful it's not painful to not smoke. nicotine withdrawal does not cause you any pain.

Most people are actually surprised to learn that nicotine only takes about three weeks to leave your system completely. And the physical effects that you experienced during withdrawal from nicotine are so very minor, that it's unlikely that you'll ever even notice them at all. Almost your entire nicotine addiction is all in your mind. So you're not going to experience physical pain or other physical effects of any kind during nicotine withdrawal. There's so minor you'll probably never even notice that they're there. And I can tell you from experience, I did not feel a thing when it came to physical withdrawal.

Now you're probably thinking Hold on, I've tried to stop before and I've had physical cravings. I feel the desire the need to have that cigarette. I need that hitted nicotine. I could even describe this feeling some people's BIT bit like you get hungry and the way that your stomach feels when it's at that point. points of worrying about start rumbling. Or you may feel like it's a bit like you've got butterflies in your stomach, something you got is giving you that craving.

Or maybe you just fidgeting with something and needing the cigarette in your hands or something physically that. But all of this is actually in your mind. Our minds are very powerful things. And they can have as manifest the feeling of physical symptoms when they're not when we're not actually experiencing them. The best example I can give you to explain this is a placebo. Now placebos are used most often through medical tests when testing a new drug.

You have different groups and experiment. For this example, let's say there's three groups. One group gets the new miracle drug, the other group gets another bronze version, and then the other doesn't get the drug at all. All the participants in every group think that they're getting the actual miracle drug. However, this third group that thinks they're getting the drug, because this is what they're told, again, in their minds that taking the miracle drug cure, the effects of the placebo group participants show the power of our minds. And what we can achieve through our thoughts without any medication is absolutely astonishing.

I can tell you, you'll have members of the placebo group reporting that they're cured, or the drug works wonderfully when in fact, they've not been taking it at all. It's all been in their head. So to sum up, you are addicted to the nicotine drug in cigarettes, and that is what you crave. But the physical effects of nicotine withdrawal are so minor it's unlikely you'll ever even notice them. It takes about three weeks the nicotine to leave your system completely. And the physical effects of nicotine withdrawal almost completely in your mind.

So I don't feel I need to go any more into the physical effects. I think I've made my point quite clearly and it's something for you to definitely think about moving forward. So, our next topic is going to be about the mental effect. So I'll see you there bye for now.
