Hello and welcome back. In this video we're going to be talking about WordPress SEO plugins. Now if you've been using WordPress for some time now you already know how many different plugins are available for you to use. There are plugins for everything your mind can imagine. And SEO plugins is no exception. Unfortunately, with so many SEO plugins to choose from, it makes it difficult for someone new to WordPress to pick the best one, you'll have a choice to pick a different plug in for each SEO task, or you can choose one plug in that does it all.
Today I'm going to be talking about two WordPress SEO plugins that do it all. And best of all, they're free. So the first thing I want you to do is you're going to go to Plugins on the left hand side and click install now or install plugins in the search bar type in SEO, and a list of SEO plugins are going to be displayed and as you can see, there are a lot Have them. The two that I want to talk about should be right at the top and they are going to be Yoast SEO and all in one SEO package. The best way to start when it comes to choosing a plugin is to first narrow it down by how many people are using the plugin. This can be done by looking at the active users shown underneath the stars of the plugins description.
You might also want to take some time and do a Google search for reviews on the plugin you're looking into. When it comes to WordPress as SEO plugins, there are two that stand out I'm going to go over both of them and tell you which one I use. I'm going to start off with the all in one SEO pack plugin. I've never personally used this plugin, but many of my colleagues can't say enough good things about it. The plugin was created in 2007 and within a short amount of time became one of the most downloaded SEO plugins for WordPress. As you can see, there's over 1 million active installs of this plug in and out of 518 reviews, it almost has a perfect five star rating.
Now some of the features are XML sitemap support. Google ANP support Google Analytics support support for SEO. And there are many more features that you can actually look at in the PDF that is provided for this video. The next video I'd like to talk about is Yoast SEO plugin. This is the plugin that I've used for my SEO on all of the WordPress sites that I've used. Now you'll find that if a blogger is not using the all in one SEO pack, they're probably using the Yoast SEO plugin.
And you can see there's over 1 million active users and out of 15,000 reviews over 15,000 reviews. It has a five star rating. Some of the features are write better content. They help you to write better content pages. analysis, technical WordPress search engine optimization, meta and link elements and there are more features as well and you can read the rest of those in the PDF. Another thing that I like about Yoast is when you're setting it up, they make it very easy.
So after you've clicked Install Now, you're going to click Activate plug in, go down to the plug in over here where it says SEO, go to the dashboard, and then it's going to have a video for you to get you started to get your plugin all set up for you. It's very easy to use.
