Movement helps create energy and peace in your body. Your biography becomes your biology (yes, your 'story' affects your physical body) so moving can actually help your body process unwanted or unsupportive stress, experiences, trauma, beliefs, etc. Start small and simple. Just walk. Maybe add light stretching every day to help release tension in your body. Here is a simple stretch to synchronize your mind and body.

  • Stand.
  • Inhale, reach arms overhead.
  • Bring your hands together.
  • Exhale, stretch gently to the right.
  • Inhale, come back to the center.
  • Exhale, stretch gently to the left.
  • Inhale, come back to the center.
  • Exhale, separate hands, and bring your arms down.
