Let's install Open CV three. Open CV three is a library that is used for processing images. Originally the library has been written in c++. This library was invented at Intel. And in this particular lecture, we are going to install Python wrapper for open CV three so that we can use it for any Python code that we are writing. So what I'm going to do is I have Anaconda installed.
So I'm going to install Anaconda. I'm going to launch the Anaconda command prompt. Let me include the font size a little bit so that you can see clearly so there it is the window a little bit okay. So I have a Python three dot seven version installed. So let me activate that first. So the way to do that is I'm going to activate and then you the Environment Day, which happens to be P three, seven hyphen environment.
So I'm in that environment. Now I'm going to start installing a few of the libraries that are useful for open CV. So the way to do that is I'm going to run a command, so I'll explain that what I'm doing. So here I'm going to install NumPy, which is a library that is in Python, which is what processing numbers efficiently using vector Mathematics. Then we have a Sai pi library that is used for certain calculations like machine learning is a part of that. But plotly is another library that is used for charting cycle is another machine learning library that is used for using the predefined ml algorithms like by base algorithm on a Jupiter notebook where we install it would be like environment for reading interactive code.
So, the same library let's install that first. Let's get to installing each of the libraries one by one so far does install NumPy sy pi matplotlib Cyclone the last one it is telling Jupiter now Okay, so Python installed. Next thing that we'll install is open CV. Let me clear the screen first. So to install PIP again you run pip install command which is a famous command for running Python package. And then for open CV, the package is open CV iPhone contrib iPhone by time.
So this is our open CV library and the Python wrapper around it. Okay, so that is installed into another library which is very useful for image processing. cases is the delay. Let's install that also. Okay, so CMYK must be installed to build a following extension. So looks like we need to install CMYK first let's go ahead and find CMYK.
So CMYK is over here. So for Windows there is a precompiled binaries available as well as MSI packages. I'm going to install so I'm going to install this one, three dot 15 dot one MSI package it's downloaded Okay, so I have downloaded now let's install it's completing the space requirement. Let's wait. Okay. I'm going to ice make to the path and with your desktop icon if required Yes, excellent the default location We also need to download Visual Studio 2015, which has the C compiler built in.
In order to do that, let me fire up a new chrome window. And all I'm going to do is search for was you know if we chose to do 2015 not the latest but 2015. So let's see. Good 2015 so I would like to download a Community Edition because I don't want to pay for the license version. So let's see the version is here. It's a little customized version I need to select just c++ and Microsoft Web Developer Tools And that's good enough for us because that's all we need.
