DESCRIPTION: Express gratitude daily. One of the most therapeutic and worthwhile exercises to build your confidence is to list out some of the many things that make you grateful each morning. When you start the day with gratitude, it is like taking a powerful vitamin that will enrich your body and soul for the entire day. For this exercise, list out at least 10 things for which you are grateful. Now, for those of you who took the optional Learning Module Overcoming Job Loss, you may have already done this exercise. However, that is okay. It is a good habit to repeat this exercise on a daily basis. Try to come up with fresh ideas each day.
