So the next thing we're going to be talking about is reframing and installing positive energy. So why reframe Why look at this, it's because it's not really about changing what has happened or what may in fact be happening presently. But it is about shifting it to a more positive per view. What do I mean by that will a lightning app and emotional load because some things can be pretty heavy and obviously the light we can make them easy we can find ourselves moving through them so we can move from being stuck into having new possibilities is looking at life and incidents through a different lens. Based though on today's wisdom, knowledge and experience, not how things used to be or how they were even yesterday. In fact, by doing some reframing, we can actually raise our IQ literally we can become more positive and have a more optimistic lens on life.

An example would be looking at the issue of perhaps a failure, and realizing that that could be in fact, feedback, healthy lessons in their fuel for future reference, so to speak, because there's always a result. And so we can ask ourselves, are there any lessons I can take from this. Another example, could be looking at a funeral, a regular funeral, which could be a bit of a downer, of course for everybody. And understandably, but when we use the word celebration of life, there is a bit of a lifting of the spirits just in the shift of a word like that and how we view something can be viewed from the very sad and grief stricken sense into something a lot lighter, where we can embrace the fun we have with somebody the joy we had with them, the experiences that they bought into our lives, and that we celebrated together.

So that's one way of Looking at now, it may not shift the outcome, but it will shift your outlook. And that's why it's very different. When we look at the role of counselors, for instance, oftentimes it's about accentuating the ambivalence, viewing the dilemma a little more clearly providing options and outcomes that can create shifts. So we have to ask ourselves then. So what is the downside of positive change? And of course, one hopes there isn't any.

And so that would allow us to step into even the idea of reframing situations and beliefs and things that have definitely happened to us or around us. Each of us has an inner voice and I've spoken about this before for our colleagues and addicts, they will often refer to it as sometimes even the committee of assholes inside there. And so when you've got those parts of you that hopefully build you up, but sometimes can knock you down The internal voices that provide either self confidence or lack of self esteem, we can also utilize that in a different way. So there's an exercise that I found very helpful for people, including myself, it's like, instead of that committee of ourselves having actually an inner wellness committee, and how do we do that? Well, if you think of a round table, let's say internally, you had questions that you were posing, that you hadn't been able to find answers for.

And yet you think about those people who have influenced your life, whether you knew them or not. Imagine having a round table filled with those people, these wise sensitive sages for instance, I have my own wellness committee, and I can tell you, Mahatma Gandhi is amongst them. Mother Teresa is also in there a good friend of mine I considered like a surrogate father, wise uncle, brother. Very good friend. That person is in there. as well.

So those will be there types of people, I would suggest to you that you think about that and that you would listen to their wisdom, knowledge and experience and advice that you make part of your own internal round table so that when you have a question that you can't quite get an answer to yourself or don't think necessarily, it's coming out the way that you think is in the best interest of yourself or the universe, you can pose that question. And it may be a committee of two or three, it may be way more than that. So again, a roundtable of sages or people that you would confide in if they were present and able. And so you pose the question, and you listen internally to the answers that you receive from each of them. And it makes for some very interesting findings. And you may then choose to move into utilizing not only the inner wellness committee as a resource, but literally the results of their responses to so think about what we Looking at here, we're looking at relaxing.

We're looking at reminding ourselves of where we're at rewinding sometimes to look back rewiring the brain in many different areas as well, that leads us to recover and then it leads us to be responsible the ability to respond. I'm actually going to read you a few things here about reframing. These are some of Gary Craig's reframes. By the way. He is the person who does Emotional Freedom Technique. Instead of I can't, you can use the reframe of I don't yet know how my problem can become my challenge, I'm stressed could become.

I could use a little piece right now. breaking a habit could be dissolving the need. I'm anxious. I need to redirect my energy. I'm exhausted, exhausted, I need to refuel. Those are some even I'm nervous could be I'm alert.

Some of my own favorite reframing messages. Include I could choose peace instead of this. I'm cordially invited to change Mind, I can choose to let go of feelings that hurt. So those are some of the things that are in the book. And that's downloadable on this lesson as well. But I also want to talk about installing positive energy.

Now obviously, you could use some of the accelerated information processing techniques or IPS as I call them. Remember, I've mentioned them in my book, rapid recovery, accelerated information processing and healing. But also if you look at some of the experts in the field of energy medicine, for instance, photo therapy, EFT tapping acupressure technique, even EMDR, which is used for trauma as well as the others, but the installation of positive energy can come that way. And I would say look at the websites, you can check my own website, you can check Gary Craig's Nick ortner for EFT, etc. But I also want to do one exercise with you that's about installing positive energy and that is it If you allow yourself to relax as much as possible, given the circumstances now the words just sink into your seat or wherever you may be, and allow yourself to close your eyes, but I'm going to ask you to just watch me first.

And then you can just do this on your own. But again, this is in the book installing positive energy, it's in that reframe section that I just want you to see what happens here. So you will be tuning in to a scene that is very tranquil, very peaceful for you, hopefully, a scene of serenity In fact, hopefully, or a scene of just absolute joy, something that was so meaningful to you. you tune in to that you visualize it, your eyes are closed and you relax your body or relax your mind and you just put your attention on it. And just imagine yourself being there. But once you do, you take three fingers, play some just about the bridge of the nose, one on top of the other like so.

And so your eyes are then closed, you're seeing this you're feeling this, you're allowing that image and the feelings that go with it to waft out of your body as you relax. And then all you do is with those fingers could be two, three or four fingers, you can put them there. You just tap there gently and softly. And you do that for about 25 to 30 seconds. And it's installing that memory so that each time you access that memory you can make that the place your go to place, installing positive energy and bringing yourself back to a place of healthy homeostasis. So I hope you will consider working on reframes.
