The Better Connect Academy (TBCA) is dedicated to offering online courses in the area of communication. We strive to fill the communication gap between hard-of-hearing individuals and staff of different types of workplaces. Per the ADA, Federaly, you are required to communicate effectively with people who are hard of hearing and deaf. We've been told over and over again that staff of all types of businesses/organizations/government agencies don't know how to provide effective communication with hard of hearing and deaf customers/clients/patients. They just have not been trained. We're here to help. At TBCA, we've created an online training course to help bridge the communication gap. The course includes techniques, facts, animation, and a quiz. Our online course is a certified Continuing Education course by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), NCAAP (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals), and a CME (Continuing Medical Education) by the AAPA (American Academy of Physician Associates).
