So today we're gonna dive right in. We talked about the top ways to engage your audience. Now we're gonna deal with pacing tools is number three. So number one was people to know number two was top ways to engage your audience. Number three is pacing tools. First things first, understand, when you get up to give a speech.

It's in a rhythm. Everything you do, is in a rhythm. Life is a rhythm. People that live life will understand the rhythm of life. You have to understand your rhythm on that stage, your rhythm is everything to your continuity and flow. When you're on that stage, you have to be at a rhythm.

It's like a cadence. It's like marching to the beat of a drum. You have to make sure every time you get up everything you say it matches is in your rhythm it's in your cadence is in your flow. So you must pace yourself. When presenting. Let me give you some tips on pacing yourself.

This is very important. First one, remember, slow down. If you feel stressed or anxious, you may just speak too quickly. And sometimes that is a reminder that, hey, I need to slow down a noun, seat your words and look, your audience in the eye. And when you talk to your audience, you're talking to people. So when you're calm, you're less likely to stumble over your words.

If you stumble over something in the middle of your speech, you have to regroup and come back. And that means stop. That means pause it that means do something that you can regain do that it's better to have a flow than to just get up and be speaking without continuity. communicate clearly, words are powerful, but only in If they're understood, while you may be tempted to show off, your extensive vocabulary has to fall in context. With your audience's desire and needs, you're satisfying the needs of an audience. Don't talk over to people's heads, that will only weaken your ability to address your audience.

There is a roadmap, the first thing you need to do when you are engaging your audience. The first thing Connect. So remember the story I told you before when I was standing in front of parents, the first thing I told them, parents, I got a little girl that's just turns Well, she's going to middle school. I need each one of you sitting here to say a word prayer for me. It's engaging people where they are. Make sure you connect with with them, don't insult them, connect with them.

After you connect, immediately build a relationship. The connection of the first part, you can't build a relationship without connecting first, that I'm sorry, it's virtually impossible. You have to connect first but after you connect, then you start building that relationship. Then the last but not least third, you want to speak to one person. This is huge. You can be in a room of 100 people, but you're still only speaking to one person.

The stage whether in a small ballroom or in a large auditorium, you compete against dozens of distractions. Anything can happen. If you fail to connect with your audience immediately. You may lose them. You may lose the business opportunities. You may lose finances, you may lose a job.

Number two relationship you You are in a relationship with your audience for 10 minutes, 60 minutes, an hour and 20 minutes. This is the most important piece when engaging your audience, for them to stay engaged. You have to continually build relationship. Throughout the entire presentation relationship is being built throughout the entire presentation. They're feeling like you're concerned about them. And in turn, they'll be concerned about what you're talking about.

Speak to one person. This one is so huge. You could be standing in front of an audience of 1000 people. You're still only speaking to one person. You got to figure out who your audience is and help each individual. You're helping the men and the women.

You're helping the young and the old. You helping all nationalities, you're helping everyone in that office. Because that is your responsibility to solve a problem to bring solutions to help everybody that shows up to hear you speak. Practice is important. Rehearsal is essential to speaking Well, I don't care how great of a speech artist you are, I don't care how well you can articulate and give people No, no, you would even be better. Even the best people that have the gift for gab, they would be so much better.

And I say this to people all the time, but they don't believe in some people that have the gift of gab, they don't even waste time. They just go out there and do their thing. And they just know they got it. They know they're gifted, but they never figure out how great they can be. Because they haven't practiced I think that's between Michael Jordan, and some so many that played nowadays. Nobody was in the gym longer than you.

He practiced. He became the proclaimed best player in the world because he practice What you got to practice? topic First off, we talked about studying your audience. If you go on that stage and you miss a vital part of your audience's the, all your speech was good, everything you did was great, you did an awesome job, you still haven't satisfied all of your requirements, because you have to meet the entire need of that audience to the best of your ability. topic to is broken out into three segments. So we talked about people to know, we talked about top ways to engage your audience.

Talked about pacing tools, all these recipe implied methods. Topic three also was broken out into three segments where we deal with connecting with people. We there were relationships. And then last but not least, we dealt with how to speak to one person I cannot stress it enough. speak to one bossa nova All right, don't waste your time trying to get a rousing applause from everybody. If you don't feel every person in there will give you an applause.

You want to get the applause from the one person from the one person for the one person for the one person and that person and that person. And guess what, when you get it from all the ones, you'll get a round of applause from everybody. Our next course, we jump into the topic of how to hit a homerun in your first minute. This is probably one of the most powerful courses that you will take because I'm going to show you how to knock the ball out the park. He mmediately your presentation has to be in rhythm. If your first minute is strong, the rest of your speech will just float in that rhythm, I'm going to deal with some of those points in another course, where we'll deal with how to organize and how to structure your presentation so that way it's clear and concise and it matches the beginning and the end.

Go together. I have another course dealing with that. But for right now, I want you to understand you're going to hit a home run. In your first minute, I'm gonna say that this is going to be a good presentation. Because the first minute was exciting. Further reading something you can look into.

This is my content. I want you to get a copy accomplishing prestigious goals. prodigious literally means accomplishing outstanding better than great goals, amazing goals.
