In simple terms, they are investing too much energy in projecting an image outwards, and not enough in looking inward to gain more self-knowledge.

There&rsquo;s actually nothing wrong with creating and projecting a self-image out into the world. We all do it all the time, and we also use different self-images in different situations. Perhaps we are a certain type of person at work, another around friends, and yet another around our parents. But this projecting of an image does need to be balanced with spending time looking internally, going on our own personal journey of self-discovery.
