DESCRIPTION: This week&rsquo;s assignment is the last and it is remarkably simple. Before you meet anyone, say to yourself &ldquo;I&rsquo;m okay, you&rsquo;re okay.&rdquo; Practice this basic position of psychological health. Feel the words inside and frame your subsequent interaction with them. Remain aware of how people respond to you.
If you have an interaction coming where you suspect there will be friction, spend time in advance looking at how you can simply be clear with the person, not trying in any way to make yourself come across as superior.
The workouts we have been doing in this series aim to leave you feeling more grounded and more open. These two qualities are those that we need to have psychological health. We can be open to others and at the same time know we can stay grounded and even put up boundaries if we feel an interaction begins to require this.
