DESCRIPTION:
Tips for why and how to use a crockpot or pressure cooker.

Nutrients: The slow cooking process can help unlock nutrients you wouldn't normally be able to absorb, it can help with the digestion of food, and can change the chemical structure of some nutrients to neutralize the harmful effects on our body.
Type of meat: For leaner meats (like chicken) set the crockpot for 3-6 hours for fattier or tougher meats (like tri-tip and pork shoulder) think 8-10 hours or sometimes longer.
Adding veggies: Throw slower to cook veggies (like onion and peppers) in with the meat and quicker to cook veggies in with about 1-2 hours left of cooking time.
Leftovers: Make enough for at least one extra meal so you don't have to think about another night's dinner.

Tips for shopping.

Plan and save: Plan out your meals for the week and only buy what's needed. It will save you money and you won't have the extra temptations of having snack foods around.
Containers for leftovers: Invest in glass food...
