If somebody is coming in and they do a chokehold from behind, so somebody is coming around with their arm. Okay, so the first thing that you need to remember again, the same thing you're being choked out if four seconds to react for your lung capacity is up. The other thing too that I'm worried about is my trachea right here. So if you break your trachea, basically. So I want you to find a pocket, you're going to first step one, put your hands in between his elbow and his forearm. Okay, his elbow and his bicep, and then you're going to turn your head if it isn't already there.

Into the crooks So you're saving your trachea and you're able to breathe a little bit better. The next thing that I'm going to do is I'm stepping back, my head through from there, I can take the person down if I need to. Step one, secure your head, your neck, your neck in the pocket, step three, okay, you're going to take this leg and step back, put your head down and go. Just like you know, in your head against your knee, you have to type in your head. Try that one more time. Or pocket step through right Okay, so I'm having trouble right here and this is not working.

I'm gonna put my knee behind my legs side of his legs. So here I've got my left leg coming in behind me and then I'm just moving it notice loosened up. I can get away any chance you can. You want to run run away way if there is a gun you want to go out and save emotion you're still secure and your house easier. Yeah, easier. So, and like she's saying there are certain things that are going to come a lot easier to you, and they will for other people and everybody's different.

That's why we have so many different options to learn from. So we have a bear house, he's coming up from behind, like grabbing. Okay, first thing I'm going to do is I'm securing Second thing, dropping down. Third, you grab hold of anything that you can, and then just pull. That person is down on the ground. And from there, you can actually put them in a hold, or you can call for help or you can Okay, Grabbing stuff down.

Raffled you want to grab hold the only thing Okay. Did Emily It was hard to know. Yeah, because the motion is just automatically going to follow that direction or the other. It's kind of a fun thing to do if you're looking in the mirror and you just kind of look at your body. See which direction is more is more easy for you to actually go Okay. Okay, so we're here and he's doing a bear hug.

And remember what we did with the thumb. All we're going to do is grab whatever fingers we can. So we're grabbing the finger and we're pulling back. All right. So from there, we can do a hold here, or we can help. Go to the ground.

Thank you so much. Get your phone dial 911 and you're good to go. finger and back. Out. Yes, you can Hey ladies. Alright, so duck and turn this one to practice at home.

Basically it's going to be a little difficult if you don't have a partner. So you have to use our imagination that basically if somebody is coming behind you with a chokehold, remember, first thing, you want to make sure that you're taking care of your trachea. So we secure arms, we turn our head, step two, into the crook of their elbow. And then step three, I'm going to bring my left leg behind their right leg, or vice versa, my right leg behind their left leg depending on which way I go. So I'm here, I've secured I've turned my head in to the crook of the neck and then I'm bringing My chin down, because I want to protect my neck as much as possible. This is what this looks like here.

Lower mid center of gravity. I'm ducking in, I'm stepping back. I'm turning out of it. So basically you're going right underneath the armpit might not smell so good, but at least you'll get out of it. So, practices in the mirror or here, secure. Turn your neck, into the crook of his elbow.

Bring your chin down, step back. Also lowering your center of gravity and out through the armpit and then from there We can do a secure hold if we need to lock. All right. All right. This is a one. Where do you get up?

Me? So I'm here, coming around my neck, I'm securing and still saving my trachea and turning my head into the crook of their elbow. So making an air pocket. Got that good. And I'm holding on to the arm. And then from there, I'm stepping back.

And we're right here at this point, we're struggling. We're having a tough time. You take that knee behind their knee and you need them. They're going to move forward, loosen up their grip, then you have a chance to get away. All right. Awesome.

Hey guys, okay, so what you want to do is you want to go down on one knee, you can practice this at home, please do not do it on a bookstore. And it's better to do it on the carpet. If you have a yoga mat, even better, if you have two yoga mats or a mat, that's great, or you can put a pillow right there. If you have, you know, testing knee injuries or something like that. If you're doing knee injuries, you probably could do a whole other move all together. But this is the one where you drop down to one knee, you're grabbing hold of that person behind you, you can grab hold of anything, the hair, the arm, close, and you throw.

So I'm here. I'm dropping down, pulling and throwing. You can try it on the opposite side to dropping down here, and polling. Okay, we can do that and we're going to be a lot more helpful for you. grab those fingers. So if somebody is coming up behind you, and they're doing a bear hug, all we need to do is feel around, find any finger.

And what you're going to do is twist out. So it doesn't matter which way you twist out. All you're going to do is once you are out of that, you're going to take both hands and twist the fingers up. That doesn't mean your hands need to be up here or down here. You just want to twist the fingers up, and it looks like this. So you're twisting up.

So basically, and it doesn't matter how many fingers you do with it's going to hurt No matter what. So all I'm doing, if you look at my hand, I want you to try putting this doing this on your own hand, where you take your thumb and put it behind your knuckles. Now twist back and keep on twisting. So, practice that. So you know what that feels like because you want to know what it might feel like for them. And then to practice the movement, remember those half that I had shown earlier?

Yes, you will want to be using those. So we're here. We peel off and come around. We're looking at that person. And we're twisting up. So this way to this way so that you can actually see me.

Bear hug, peel off, twist around, grab, twist. Do it again, bear hug, peel off, twist out, twist up. Notice they tried the other side this time. You can't necessarily say one side or the other as you're going along. This is something that you will notice, you will tend to go one way or the other, you'll like a certain position or a certain hand grab, preferably and gravitate to that, and that's okay. But it's also important for you to really know what to do.

Either way. Okay. All right. So, again, somebody grabbing you, bear hug. I find some fingers. I peel out.

I twist up. bear hug Secure fingers, heel out, twist up. Do this 10 times. Secure fingers, heel back, turn around, twist up. So you're going to be facing them. You're on the side and doing this.

You'll still have leverage. You can direct somewhere you want them to go, but facing your opponent, very important you turn your back on your opponent. Not a good idea. Okay? All right. Sweet.
