By now, hopefully, you have completed the brainstorming session on ideal jobs and ideal companies. First, you identified all of the different kinds of jobs you could do and then summarized which ones you really wanted to do. Next, you listed and summarized the characteristics you want in an ideal company. Now, it is time to develop a list of industries that excite you the most. Pick industries that leverage your background and expertise as well as those that ignite your passions.
The decision is yours to make. Again, it is what you want that is important not what you think others want for you. So, brainstorm on all the industries that interest you. Also, write down the characteristics that make each one appealing. Then, narrow the industries down to a few that can really motivate you to succeed.
