Well, I hope you found that instructive, fascinating, even I love these subjects. And I think it is so interesting to consider the mechanics of speaking and listening. So that's what we've been doing. We've had a look at the mechanics of speaking, and what your voice is and how you make it. And we've also considered the mechanics of hearing and listening and how those two things are extremely difficult the miracle of hearing, physicality of it, and the extraordinary process, which you may never have considered, really, of listening, where it's selection, and then meaning making, we've understood that your listening is actually unique. And we've looked at the filters that you listen through.
As you become conscious of these filters, and you do the exercise that I've suggested, you will be able to start playing with them. And that puts you in control, to admit a good degree of your reality. You actually can change your way reality. And that's quite an exciting prospect. Unless you're here it is absolutely perfect right now in which case, don't you go changing. So that's what we've done in this particular part of the course.
And we've understood that perception is colored by all of these things, the way you're perceived and the way you perceive the world, very much down to the way you speak, and the way you listen. We will be moving on now to look at the dark side of speaking and listening to holes in your bucket. And I'm sure you have none of these. But you may know somebody very well, who's got one or two. I look forward to exploring them with you.
