DESCRIPTION: Nutrition is the foundation of your physical health. When I talk about nutrition, I do not mean it in the sense of dieting or finding ways to lose weight (although that can become a nice side effect for many). Addiction can impact your physical body in many different ways, depending on what you are addicted to, but side effects can include:

Depletion of specific key nutrients, such as B vitamins (B1, B6 and folic acid)
Damage to the liver and kidneys
Imbalance of protein, electrolytes, fluids, and calories
eight loss and malnutrition
Mistaking feelings of hunger for cravings

Perhaps the most telling thing about nutrition is the impact it has on your mental wellbeing. Food plays a key role in helping us to feel good.
