The Trouble With Gluten and Dairy
Gluten and dairy have addictive qualities, and most of the gluten and dairy we consume is commercially produced and processed. Processed foods are linked to dangerous lifestyle diseases.
Both dairy and gluten contain "opioid peptides," that belong to the same family as opium. Dairy products contain small amounts of casomorphin, while gluten contains small amounts of gluten exorphin and gliadorphin.
When peptides in gluten or casein react with opiate receptors in the brain, they produce effects similar to opiate drugs, such as heroin and morphine by lighting up the pleasure receptors in our brains.
These receptors influence the part of the brain involved with speech and auditory integration, which means this part of the brain can cause food addiction, give us brain fog, trigger migraines and headaches, affect sleep, cause fatigue, anger, moodiness, anxiety, depression, and high tolerance to pain.
