Keeping a food journal is a powerful tool that can be used to improve habits, energy, mood, and overall wellness.
How to use the journal: Track everything. Track what you eat and drink in real-time. Be specific for each entry. Each entry is equally important. Estimate amounts of food. Give approximate quantities and measurements. Keep your food journal with you all day. Carry your paper version if you cannot easily access the digital version. If you forget your journal, make notes on any piece of paper, or enter them in the “notes” app on your phone.
