This section explains how to use the emotional drivers, we learned about in the previous section, to design the organization in a more human-centered way. The first lesson gives you ways to measure the cost of stress to the organization. The next lesson sets up the rest of the section by showing you how to look at your organization as an organic system. The idea here is to help you understand better how the organization interfaces with human psychology. We then develop this understanding in the rest of the section by studying the various techniques and structures that you can adopt to build intrinsic motivation into the system.

By the end of section three, you will be able to understand how the organization can either motivate or demotivate people and even more importantly how you can design the organization, or your part of it, in a way that is intrinsically motivational.
