DESCRIPTION: Pre-license requirements
• Meet general licensing provisions (see above).• Hold active sales associate license with completed post-license education.• 24 months of real estate experience during the previous 5 years as a sales associate or broker in another state.• Current certification of license history from the applicable state for non-FL experience.• 72 classroom hours pre-licensing course or 4-year degree in real estate.• Submission of application, fingerprints, and fee.• Pass the state broker exam with a grade of 75% or higher.• Activate license.
Post-license education requirements
• 60-hour course prior to initial license expiration or 4-year degree in real estate.• Pass the end-of-course exam with a 75% score.• Failure to complete requirements by the expiration date results in the license becoming null and void.
