Gourmet tune-a melt


                                     
Gourmet tune-a melt sandwich
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Makes: 3-4 servings
Ingredients:

1 (15 0z) can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
¼ medium white onion
2 garlic cloves
⅓ cup of vegan mayo or ½ half avocado
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of dried dill
¼ teaspoon of sea salt

Garnish Ingredients:

½ chopped tomato
1 chopped scallions

Tools:

Large frying pan (big enough for 3 slices of bread at once)
Measuring spoons and cups
Spatula (for mixing and flipping the Melt)
Spoon (for adding Tune-A to the bread)

Preparation:

Open and strain the chickpeas
Cut and dice the onion, garlic, and avocado (If replacing vegan mayo)
Slice bread into 6 even slices

Add chickpeas and onions into the food processor, (or mash together in a bowl with a fork) pulse till the chickpeas and onions are thoroughly mixed. They should remain somewhat chunky, do not over pulse or you will end up with...
