So now it's your turn. I'm going to give you a few little activities to do in order to build up your own charts. But don't worry, I'll be writing these down and there'll be a slide following this video. So, using the format from my own family trees, try carrying out the following. Firstly, sketch out at least one family tree descendant chart from the earliest known ancestor in your own family tree. You might like to make one for both your paternal line and your maternal line, if that's possible.
Secondly, create a pedigree chart with yourself as the first person adding as much information as you can. For other people on the chart. Make a note of where you have gaps. Thirdly, using the pedigree chart display Where you are going to begin your family history research. And you might like to discuss this with other family members too. And fourthly, remember to keep adding to these charts as you make progress in your research, or alternatively, invest in some software that will generate the charts for you.
