Each section covers a different type of research or resource, and you will be able to start building your family tree while you are proceeding through the course.
This course is for anyone who would like to learn how to trace their UK ancestry but does not have an idea of how or where to start. This course will instruct you in how to begin, starting with asking your own family and studying old photographs, through to the most important online sources, including civil registration records, census records, and parish registers.
