Okay, one of the last things that I want to talk about is filing weekly. All right. I mentioned this already before a couple other ways. But at the end of the week, Friday, whatever it is for you, Saturday, Sunday, it doesn't matter. You need to wrap up, you know, and you need to make sure that all of your files are sorted correctly, you're placing everything in the folders, your desk is completely cleared off for the weekend. When you leave your work, you should leave it like it was, Oh, it was meant to be perfectly cleaned and you know, ready for you.
So that way, come Monday, you're starting off on the right foot, you're not thinking Oh, man, I gotta clean all this crap off. I gotta wipe my desk down. I gotta, you know, get rid of these papers. I gotta go through this mail. I got to sort these emails. I gotta, whatever it is.
Go through, wrap it up, including emails. All right. emails are something where I get I get all of them done. And if you ever see one of my inboxes, anytime I show it quite a few of my courses, and it's just natural, because I show people how I work with my email, you'll often see that I only have Max, maybe 510 emails inside all of my inbox, most of the times all of them are read. Those are just because those five or 10 emails are things to do anything that isn't to do. If it isn't, then it ends up being deleted, it becomes nothing for me, because when something's done, and it's out of my hands, you know, I may be waiting for a reply back from a customer.
But thank God for Gmail because it keeps all of the conversation together. So I'll just delete my emails. And then I'll wait for the reply to come back. And that's it. I'm done. So whatever the reply is, it's usually attached with my reply.
Right? So I know what I said last to this customer, this client, and then they send their reply, and we can take it up from there whenever they do. reply back, whether it's over the weekend, next week or sometimes next month, I want to make sure that my inbox is kept extremely clean and fine tuned towards being on what I need to work on. If I have 2030 emails inside my inbox, well, Boy, that's a lot to sort through, there's a lot to do, especially if a lot of the things that come inside my inbox are promotions, I have literally a promotion inbox. And that goes inside of some of my weekly filings. You know, some of the promos I do want to keep I like being a marketer and seeing what other marketers do.
But at the end of the day, if it's not pertinent, it's not something that I'm just gonna read over right away and it relates to my business and me actually making money that goes in the promo inbox. That's something for me to do when I have some free time when I'm feeling lacks when I want to go and you know, get some inspiration. I go to my promo box inbox and see all of the promotional emails that I click through on or want to read. Eat up about more. All of that goes in there. That's every week I'm going through making sure I'm cleaning up on a weekly basis.
If you do it once a month, it's going to become this thing that's just like oh my god, you do it once a week at the end of the week, it's going to become something that's a habit and you're going to be much more successful in it.
