my name is Suzanne Tamar Dekel.

I am a natural dyer and natural dyes are my passion.

I dream about it, I work with it daily, and I can lecture about it at any given moment.

when I started to work with natural dyes I wanted to make sense of the why and understand methods and the reasoning behind them.

This sent me off on a whole journey of reading as many books as possible and learning from as many people as possible but most importantly: experimenting tons.

I have been extremely fortunate to meet with keepers of ancient traditions, and real artisans around the world. I hope to continue learning and developing as long as I can. Even though we are meeting virtually here, and not in a fun classroom where it may be easier to communicate, I do want to get to know you more and create that kind of understanding of who you are too so feel free to write me a little bit about your own personal journey in dyes and mail me to the mail below and let’s be friends too.
