Hello, today in this course I decided to get sreenivas on camera so he can share how he has 3000 books till now. Yes 3000 and as you can see him is not some old bald person is quite young. In last 14 years he has read 3000 books. So let us dive deep into his journey and try to get some secrets so that it helps you to build a reading habit so that you at least finish a book a week. So can you see us what I do on board? Thank you, Rupert for having me.

Yeah, so she was tell us a little bit about yourself. What's your Magnum has been? I am suniverse, founder of experts Academy. I am CEO by profession, and I help professionals and students read faster and learn faster. Wow. And how did you get into this ERC by profession So how did you get into this city in June?

So when I was 13, I changed my school. So at the age of 13, I basically had to travel, like one hour, to and fro, to my school or my home. So I didn't know what to do in that one hour while commuting from school to though house and everything. So I decided to read newspapers. And within a few days, I realized reading newspapers is pretty much a waste of time. So on one day, I was just going through the road and I saw a book called you can win by Xu Cara.

I bought that book and realized that I love reading self development books. And it was the first time I was introduced to your world, which I didn't know existed, which was never taught in schools. And I decided to read books and reading books became my passion. So from that day onwards, I I read I think I have read almost every day. Oh, wow. Like look last 14 years for 10 years.

Okay. So one of the things that you can see out here streaming was was not someone who was born with love for reading. Now many of you will be like Him who might have never touched a book, The lucky touched book first time, the 6779 stability. So he first starts to book at nine when he was in ninth standard. So even if you can start out, that's good as the code goes, the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is right now.

So as he started, then you can start right now. So you haven't read like almost every day from last 1314 years. So what's your routine reading routine looks so almost every day I decide which book to read. So almost every day I know which book I'm reading. I tend to start with one book, finish that book, and then go to the second book. I don't like reading multiple books at one time.

I, most of the times I read while commuting, so almost like you'll see me whenever I'm commuting, I have no Kindle or a book. And also I prefer to read before sleeping. Like I tend to sleep very late in the night. So in the night I generally read for at least one or two hours. And so I have a different perspective on deciding multiple. So, the question out here is what happens when your day goes for a toss?

Let's say there is some important meeting that while commuting, you might have to work something else. And at night, let's say you are not able to do so how do you manage that? Because yes, we have an ideal plan, but sometimes we are not able to stick with it. Okay, how do you manage when there are different situations in your life so I don't pick a book randomly. And so whenever I'm picking a book, I know why I'm reading this book and why that is important to me. So the purpose is very strong enough.

No matter what book I'm reading, I don't read a book without a purpose. So that purpose drives me to read that book. So finding the why finding that why that book should be read is very important to me. So even though sometimes Yes, this goes for a toss, even then I tend to find at least 15 minutes to a half an hour a day. Because we are speed readers, we tend to read much quicker and tend to finish much faster. So come to this, like you're leaning so much, and so you've said about Kindle also.

Yes, so what we usually prefer hardcopy or a software. So initial 10 years I read mostly hardcopy books, and I tend to avoid soft copies because it slows my reading speed. So if the book is very good, and if the reviews are very good, I take a printout of it and read it in hardcopy, and in the last four years, most of my reading has happened in Kindle Kindle is not as good as reading in hardcopy, but it comes very close. Now, this is also feedback because a lot of people who are 40 Plus, always saying, Hey, I only prefer hardcopy Kindle will never be that good. Yes, we agree can never be done. But sometimes you need to go with what is practical.

And it's all a period of time. You also get that comfort level with Kindle also. So yes, that's an important learning for all of us. It's okay, you need to get expert at both hardcopy as well as copy. So based on all the books running, I know what happens when you feel sleepy. How you avoid that because it happens with all of us.

So if I'm really feeling sleepy, then I close the book and go to sleep. So generally, I don't feel sleepy while reading books. And I also I have also done a lot of research like what's the biggest challenge people face? Why they don't read books. One of the challenges most people face is they tend to feel sleepy by reading books, or they don't they can't concentrate while reading. And the number one reason why I think it happens is, most people don't have a clear purpose, why they are reading this book.

If you have a strong purpose, like why you want to read this book, then you generally don't feel sleepy, because you are completely engrossed in the book and you want to get out of get out maximum from the book. So one tip that I always give my students have a strong purpose before you open the book. If you don't have a purpose, then I recommend that you don't open the book, because there's a high probability that you will not finish the book. To feeling sleepy, strong book was had a strong purpose. Now I'm sure like finding Why is important but sometimes what happens and it has happened to me also, you are very clear that this book will help you to find your wife and or one You are done with like 1500 pages you realize this is not meeting my need Kurt. So, at that time, I usually say like a sentence loyalty is with people not in books, I agree with you.

Now, my point is here is people are always facing that guilt feeling until unless I do not finish this book, I will not start reading the next book. So, in your experience, have you left few books which are unread after first 1500 pages, most are many books, many books. So one thing I would recommend everyone is boy a preview of the book before you actually do the reading, if you do your review for let's say 10 to 15 minutes, we generally get an overview of what is in the book and you generally will understand what what the author's writing style is, and if it will meet your purpose. So if you feel that your purpose will not get we achieved from this then it meant that you stop the book or you close the book and move to the second book. Don't go on guilt trip if they work less hard, no guilt.

No, your time is precious. Exactly. Okay, so based on 3000 books, he was only three books, which everyone should be only three. I know it's difficult. Okay, so the first book, I review the three books, which has like changed my perspective of life. So the first one is thinking Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, is one of the best books to develop a success mindset.

And, of course, the book title suggests about getting rich, but it goes beyond that. You can using those principles. You can have great health, but we had better relationships. That's the first book. And the second book, I think, which I read even more than what I have read, Think and Grow Rich is breakthrough experience by dr. john demartini. I have read the book I think by now I think I've read almost 40 times in last 40 times 40 times in the last two Yours.

Yeah, the concepts that he teaches, I think he repeats that concept multiple times in that book. But the concept is so practical, that it changes the way you look at things. Like many of the self development books that I have read says you should have this positive attitude should look at everything in a positive way. So this book takes a completely different standpoint. They says, Don't be positive, don't be negative, go in a middle path. I mean, so if you read the book, I think you'll understand it better.

And the third book, which I have read recently is code of extraordinary minds. By vision like in a mind Valley, mind Valley founder. It's again a very good book, he has given a different way of looking at things. I mean, if you read the book, you will love it. So how can people get in touch with you if they want to contact you asking more questions, so they can contact me by email So my email ids 3d was at Salinas, Walker t.com. Awesome.

So get in touch with him. 3000 bucks is not a small figure. If you have any more questions you can always get in touch, ask him how he has faded his journey. And thank you so much for watching. And I'm sure you will develop the reading habit of reading a book of v. and chemistry humans for coming out here. Thank you very much.

So before we close that, one tip that I want to give you is read for just 15 minutes at it. And I did some mathematics. Based on the mathematics I can confidently say that just by reading for 15 minutes, you can actually read 25 books in a year. And if you read 100 books on any topic, you can be a world class expert on any topic of your choice. Awesome. So just 15 minutes off, and that's for next four years, and will be an topic export.

And even if you read 15 minutes that basically means a book of 15 days. Imagine if you've been bullied. You'd be master of a topic in a couple of years. So thank you for watching, and thank you once again. Thank you Burke.
