Depending on the car group booked by the company for their travelers this can result in a minimum of R260 000 to anything just under r1 million. Damage investigations of this magnitude can take up from six (6) months to a year to be finalized and/or resolved. In the interim, the TMC would have needed to settle the initial claim by the car rental company and pay the interest on funds borrowed from the bank /investors which will quickly accumulate to thousands of Rands.
