Desire. One of the biggest causes of unhappiness is the feeling of wanting something that you don't or can't have. This is where the idea that desire is a bad thing comes from desires actually not a bad thing though your desires are very powerful and they create everything in your life. If you don't allow yourself to want something, you'll never get it. Let's talk about how to deal with that negative feeling of not having it yet. The first thing you need to do is figure out what you want and why you will be happier if you have it.

Do you think it will really make you happy or just for a short time only to lead you to another desire? The next thing to do is figure out if they're really your desires, or if you've just been programmed to think that you want them. You could have been programmed by your family, friends, co workers, the society that you grew up in, and of course, the media. The media constantly tells you what you should want, what you should do with your life and what should be make you happy. Write down what you think will bring you happiness as well as why you believe this. figuring this out can help you let go of desires that might actually be holding you back.

Be sure that you think about if it's what you truly want or something that maybe you've been conditioned to believe. If you're trying to make a positive change in your life and it isn't working out, you might be trying to change the wrong thing. You could be doing things because you think you should, instead of because you really want to, it might be because someone else thinks it's best for you or to please someone or avoid rejection. It could be fear of what people will say or think or feel disappointing, others being judged. Don't give away your power. It's your life, your existence.

You get to choose what you do with it.
