My name is Bill Dallas and I'd like to welcome you to a very special program. It's called be a mentor with thummell Welles film is a conference speaker. She speaks all over the world frequently with women of faith now with extraordinary women. She mentors women of all ages. She's the author of numerous books, including girl Have I got good news for you? God is not through with me yet, and bumblebees fly anyway.

Please join me in welcoming Velma wells. delma Come on out here. So glad to have you. Excited to be here. You know, we've been we've been looking forward to this for many years, actually now through your schedule and our Because we're able to actually have in our studio. So again, we're excited.

You're going to be talking today about being a mentor, what are you gonna be sharing with us today? Well, I'm going to be sharing a formula for success. I believe that mentors need to know who they are themselves. So they can convey that to people whom they're mentoring. And so I'm going to be talking about how you get the confidence, the ability, if you will, to be a mentor and be a mentor, re, I don't really know how to pronounce that word. Some people call it mentoring, some call, it meant mentor, II, but whatever it is, is somebody who's being mentored.

So let me define that right now. Okay. So that's what we're going to talk about some of those things that can help us be the best that we can be as a mentor, or as someone who is being mentored God. Looking forward to this, I'm gonna turn over to you and I'll be back later. Okay, wait a minute. Wait, I gotta ask you something.

Are you a mentor? No, I'm not. Okay. I beg to differ with you. So because people are watching watching you. And they're looking at you.

And they're making determinations about you and they're wanting to be like you. That's what a real mentor is. And many of us are mentors, but we have no idea we are. We have no idea that people are watching us. And they are saying, Wow, I'd like to be like Bill Dallas, I'd like to do this. Like, I'd like to cut my hair, even like, and some mentors are really trendsetters, if you will.

So I just wanted to ask you that, because sometimes we don't know that I didn't know that I was a mentor for years. But people would come up to me and say, Oh, you know, I watched you do so and so on. Thank you for telling me this, and I appreciate your encouragement. I had no idea that was mentoring. But it is it also then must put responsibility then. Oh, is that what I heard when you said that also, I just started feeling not only responsibility, it's a challenge.

Mentoring is Not easy, okay? And it's also accountability. Because if you are going to mentor anybody, if you're going to be influential, if you're going to encourage, if you're going to inspire, you must be accountable to them, the people whom you are dealing with, as well as the God, because everything is in your hands and when you're trying to mentor somebody, so you have to be accountable. It's a challenge, but I love it. I love it. And I accept that challenge.

Well, now, I'm gonna have to listen to your program as I want to learn how. So thank you, man and women. So if you're out there, don't shoot turn that down. That's what great grandmother mentors can do when they talk to you like that. Thank you. All right.

That means ask you how many of you have mentors in here? Oh, everybody's hand I'll be up waving at me. Saying Here I am Here I am Here I am. Absolutely. Because you see of us are influencing somebody somewhere all the time. You may not know it, but you really are.

So what indeed then is a mentor? Well, let me define what I believe a mentor is. A mentor is a confidant. A mentor is a challenger. A mentor is a comforter. A mentor is committed, obligated, responsible, accountable.

And trust worthy. We must be trustworthy. And so as you're mentoring your children, or your friends, or your relatives or your co workers, all of that comes into play as a mentor. I've been mentoring people for a long, long, long time, but officially, I've been what they call a professional Metro Since 19, since 2001, the Lord laid on my heart to mentor people to encourage people, and I thought I had been doing that, but it got a little more pressure, you know, a little more heart wrenching. And I thought, okay, God, who do you want me to mentor? Surely not children.

I don't talk. We don't talk the same language, Lord. Okay. And then I said, well, teenagers, Oh, please, God. Don't let it be teenagers. I mentored them, and they taught me more than I want to know.

Okay. And I said, Lord, make it plain. Who do you want me to mentor? Because you see, all of us have been given different assignments. Yeah. And because I love dealing with adults.

I was hoping that's what it was. So I went to a church one evening and and in that church service, I had really forgotten about begging God to let me know who we wanted me to mentor. But at the end of the service, a lady came up to me who did not know me? And she said, Ma'am, you are mother and Zion. Whoa. And she said the Lord has called you to Metro women in ministry.

And I started crying. I started crying, because I had asked him to clarify to me who it is that I'm to mentor. And that very Sunday night, I went home and started the mentoring process by writing the program by asking God to give me what he wanted me to do as a mentor. By writing a letter of invitation to over 100 women in my area, please come to my house. Okay, because I want to love on you. Well, about 50 of them came in that a blessing and a lot of one that didn't even know they came to my house and for one year, they came every month for nine months.

And we sat together and talk together. And I graduated 27 of that group. Some of them had to drop out for certain things. But it was so encouraging for me. And I learned so much, because you see, mentoring is a two way street. Yes, I learned from you.

You learn from me. You encouraged me, I encouraged you. That's the way it goes. And so I'm open and have been open to learning from other people. Because I love to be mentored. Also, when I was wondering what in the world am I going to do for these nine weeks that they will be here?

And the Lord had shown me years ago, what I was supposed to do, but I didn't know I was supposed to do it at that time. I was a banker for 12 years in Dallas, Texas, and as Assistant Vice President of the largest independent bank in Texas. I would also teach women or people about bacon. I found that in my bank, they didn't know anything about banking. So. So I went back to school got certified and everything I could.

And I said to the woman who was in charge of the American Institute of banking, I can teach banking. And she said, You just graduated you don't know. I said, Give me one semester. And so from one semester to 10 years, I taught banking, but there was a discovery there. I discovered that people had such low self esteem, such low self worth. If I would say you're going to have a test some I won't have a corner.

It's a big one, you know. And so I said, Lord, help me to be able to share with people something that will encourage influence, motivate and inspire them. Give me something that will last with them longer than remembering my name or my face. And I don't know how long it was between this time and when I had this experience I was wearing a little Bumblebee. And this was a little Bumblebee was only ornament. It meant nothing.

But as I went into my church, one of my friends who was much more animated than I said fellow else that's pretty beat every time you wear that be. Remember you couldn't be the best of what you want to be like, Oh, hello. Oh, but but that started going on in my head. You can be the best. And then I thought, well, I've heard that aerodynamically. The Bumblebee is not supposed to be able to fly.

Its body is too heavy, its wingspan is too shallow. And I also heard nobody told that fool again. So it flies don't what God intended for to do. And as I investigated more, the bumble bee and the aerodynamics and the truth of that. I thought now bomb will be has no brain But it does what God intended. Human beings have a brain.

And they have the choice to do what God intended. And so God gave me a formula for success. I believe if you're going to be a mentor, or a mentoring, you've got to know some things about yourself before you can help anybody else. And this formula for success sounds like this. b plus A plus A equals s, b plus e plus A equals s spells beads. And so far part of the nine weeks that the people came to my house over the year, I started teaching them who they are, how to deal with negatives.

What success looks like And why are you working forward anyway? That's what I want to share with you. Is that mentoring today, because we need to be keenly aware of who we are before we can help anybody else. Now be let me start with that first one. Be V means be aware of who you are. All right.

How many of you know who you are? What's your mission, your vision, your passion is? How many of you know what you want to be when you grow up? I was 40 years old. Before I really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I had tried a lot of things.

I try to have my own business or secretarial service. I don't know why I don't even like to type. I tried being a stay out. stay at home mom. Love children, but that wasn't for me. I could not compliment Congrats.

Actuate and applaud, I'll stay at home mothers. That's the hardest job, I believe in the world. But it was not for me. I had to be around people. Okay, who were not saying that anything, okay. So that was not what I wanted to be.

I thought it would be a banker for the rest of my life and get my goal was at the end of the end of the term, but that wasn't what I wanted to be. I had already started teaching. And I wanted to be a motivator and a teacher for adults. But I didn't find that out until I was 40 years of age. I tried a lot of other things. You see.

So a lot of times we don't know what we want to be because we're in the classroom of learning. You see? Yeah, we have to try other things. Look at other systems, partake of whatever until we are ready. For God to reveal to us what he wants us to be. And I just thank him for the classroom of life, because that's what I was in.

But then when I determined what I wanted to be, things got even smoother. Because we're living our dream. If I were to ask you, what is your mission and life? What would you say to me? If you were to ask me what my mission in life is, my mission is to travel globally, extracting diamonds out of people's dust, and telling them that Jesus loves them, and there's nothing they can do about it. That's what my goal in life is to do that.

So I want to ask you, who are you? Be aware of who you are. You might be asking, I don't know who I am yet. Well, let me help you. You are people made by God. loved by God, protected by God, enhanced by His glory.

You You have skill and ability that's unique to you your expertise that nobody else has. You are God's best work because he put his fingerprints on you, and nobody else has that same in a wonderful that you could be a twin are triplets. But to toe print is different. Your fingerprint is different is something different about you. Why? Because he made us individually according to his own splendor, according to His will.

Who are you then? Your three part creatures, your body and soul and spirit. We can see the body. Yes, and y'all have some really pretty bodies out here. You can see the body. But my daughter asked me when she was a little girl Mama was the soul.

And I didn't know what she was talking about. I didn't know what the soul was. How many of you can define your soul Some of us can, and some of us are saying you define Did you ask the question? Okay? The soul is the essence of our life. The soul is our personality, our drives, our likes, our dislikes, our wants, grief, I emotions, that's the soul.

And then Thelma was the Spirit. The Spirit is that God in us, that was put in us before the foundation of the world, that in my imagination, and sometimes I can, I can just imagine God having this big warehouse out here. And he knows exactly who's going to be born when, to whom we're going to be born, where we will be born, what color is on all of that. And on the day of conception, he just doesn't know he's empty because maybe For the foundation of the world, we were already thought of, in the mind of God. I'm so happy about that. I can't stand it.

That's right. I really am. In fact, in Psalm 139 13 through 17, it talks to us about that. And if you want to get your Bibles you can, and I'm gonna go over here. So I'm 139. And I'm going to read it to us, because I don't want you to take my word for anything.

I want you to take God's word for everything. All right, and then it's on 139 beginning at the 13th verse, it says, For you created my end most being, you knit me together in my mother's womb, praise you, because I am fearfully that means reference. Ah, and wonderfully, that means intricately may Uh oh, I like this so much. Your work so wonderful. I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you.

But I was made in the secret place where I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes, so my unformed body. I like them. All the days are deign for me that were written in your book before one of them came true. Don't you love that you love the fact that before anything was before the stars were in place before grass was green, before cows produce white milk. God already had you on his mind. Now if that's not something to shout about, I don't know what it is.

It's something to shout about. Because he loves you so much, until at the instant, the millisecond if you will, of course. ception had already formed you, it just had to take that nine months or whatever long it took to lit everything around you. And we are so intricately made, until we can have a coal and don't take into medicine and be over it in seven days. And then you can have a call and take medicine and be over it in seven days. Our bodies can heal themselves.

I'm a living witness from that, having had cancer in 2005, and done it the natural way. And I have no cancer cells in my body. Now. You see, God is an awesome God, and He has made us completely Who are you? You are made reverently in the Spirit of God. You are made wonderfully in the mind and in the hearts of God.

And he has placed you in a land where you can be free to worship God, who are you? I know it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Are you?

You are loved by God. And if you don't believe me, just read from Genesis to the maps. Because from Genesis maps, he's trying to say I love you. I love you. I love you, I love you. Be aware of who you are.

Maybe you need to go home as a mentor, or as a mentor, and write down what is my vision? How do I see myself and I'm not asking you to write down what other how other people see you. Okay, because some people don't see you as favorably, perhaps as you think. Some people will say you're short, you're fat, you're ugly, you're black, you're white, you're whatever, whatever it is. God said I knew you before you were ever formed in your mother's belly. And you to me on my best work.

Whoo, I liked it. So righteous, righteous, righteous vision, and right. Your Passion He wants us to live our passion. I'm talking about godly passion, okay? He wants to he wants this passion. And that's why he gave it to us.

That's why he gave us a soul. So we could passionately love and we could patch don't care and we could passionately in coverage, and we could all thank God for Pecha. So who are you? That's the question if you've not asked, or if you've not answered, that's a good question or you be aware of who you are. He eliminate the negatives in your lives. Okay.

You cannot be a good mentor or good mental re when you whine and complain and behave like a victim. When you feel it all out of sorts. When when you know when you're angry, bitter, all of those kinds of things. And the world is so full of negatives. Now. You Pick up the newspaper.

It's naked. If you watch television, you listen to the news. You whatever unless CCN is all negative. You see, it really is you talk to your friends and negative. I had one friend, I love her so much, but I have to go to bed before I talked to her before I talk to her, and I need to be sleepy when I talk to her, because she's totally negative. We've been friends for over 60 years.

Yes, I'm 67 Thank you. I know I'm cute. But I go to I go to bed, and I'm pretty sleepy when I talk with her. But she's gonna talk on and on and on and on. And I'm gonna say I am not letting any of that hit the first eardrum because I'm not going to be brought down by anybody for any reason. Life's too short and too long.

That's right, so I'm not going to do it. So how do you eliminate the negative? So the first thing and not in this order, I don't mean it's in this order. But I mean, the first thing I want to say to you is that singing in the closets of your life can help you deal with negatives. Now, some of the negatives may be money, time management, relationships, whatever it is jobs, whatever it transportation, educate whatever it is. But I remember having this memory of being locked in a closet when I was a little girl, by my grandmother, not my great grandmother who raised me, but my grandmother and in that dog's naked dingy closet, because my great grandmother had taken me to church.

I was able to sing the songs of Zion, those songs, the hymns of the church in the closet. I had no idea what was going on in the closet, but I was just singing what I knew Jesus made this I know, throw out the lifeline what a friend we have in Jesus, the old rugged cross, you'll know the temptation, those hymns, they have great theology in them. And as I sung in the closet and got out of the closet on that day, I had no bitterness, no anger, no trauma, nothing like that. And I didn't know that that was even abuse, until I got to be grown. I had no idea. I knew it wasn't comfortable.

I knew I didn't want to be there. But I had no idea but now that I have great grandchildren, and even before then I know what was going on in that closet. Because the Lord said, I will give my angels charge over you, to keep you in our way. Music is a universal language. You can go anywhere and listen to Amazing Grace, know the melody, know the music and be able to hum it or sing it or whatever. Watch the praise music that you do.

Every day of my life, there is music going on in my head, in my heart, in my house, because I have found that when I am down in the dumps, when things are not working out for me when life gets tough, and it does, according to john 1633 is that in this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. He can overcome your world where you are, when you praise Him, when you praise Him, that's one way to eliminate the negatives. Another way to eliminate the negatives is to pray, of course, pray without ceasing. I didn't really like that first when I read it and in Thessalonians Pray without ceasing. To eat sometime I've been I determined what admit it means And the attitude of prayer, that your mind an attitude of prayer, you know, just feel yourself with prayer.

Prayer is the heart sincere desire uttered, are expressed. So most of the time I don't a prayer, you see, but it's going on in my head going on in my heart. Yes, all the time. So pray, and then study the Word of God. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. It has been said that people who read the Bible four times a week are less likely to suffer from depression in their homes and their families are more intact.

They are able to get to deal with people on a positive level more because the Word of God never returned to him. Boyd So whether you read it or just a verse, or whether you read a chapter and study it, feel your heart and your mind with the Word of God. Yeah, with the Word of God. I have a scripture on my website that changes every day. Because I need a new word, or re ma word, a positive word, an encouraging word and enlightening word and informative word from God, everyday, everyday. So what are we going to do?

We're going to eliminate the negatives by having music. Watch the music that you have now. That'd be praise music, okay? Yeah, don't don't say my baby. Don't live me. That will not inspire you on it.

Okay. Let me take it. Okay. But when you do that and you pray, and you study your Bible, and so on Do yourself with people who are upbeat, who are positive, who enjoy life, who will help you. They're mentoring you, as you are mentoring them. Eliminate the negatives.

The next day, work for eternal value, eternal value. Now I got to tell you a little story. I read a book called this was your life by Jamie lash and Rick Howard. This was your life. I was fascinated by the title. In fact, I was in California when I was given that book.

Some of you might remember Barbara Johnson. Yeah, well, Barbara's friend Linda gave me that book as I was in a Marriott Hotel in California and she said that my Thank you like it. When I didn't only like it. I was challenged. I laid on my bed and cried when I read a part of that book. Now let me give you the story very quickly.

Rick said he had a dream one night. And in that dream, he went to the judgment seat of Christ. The you know, the judgment seat of Christ is where our works will be judged. Okay? If anybody tells you, I'll see you at the Great White Throne Judgment time Now you won't see me there. That's for people who have not accepted Jesus, but people who have rejected him.

I'm gonna be at the judgment seat where Jesus says hello. And so Rick said that, at the judgment seat of Christ, he saw a lot of people whom he recognized a lot of people in ministry and a lot of friends. And this is in his dream now. And he said he looked about and this mega pastor was stepping up before Jesus, because he's the righteous judge. And he was presenting his works to Jesus. And Jesus was taking those words and trying them in the fire as The man stood there and watched what was going on.

His works burned and burned and burned and burn and it was a big black hole. And the minister started weeping all over. What happened? I built churches for you. I wrote books for you. I sent people to the mission field for you.

I've done everything for you, God. What? Where are my crowns where my rewards? Can Jesus said to him? No. You did not work for me.

I told you to go on the foreign mission field. Your fiance said, I will not marry you. If you go in the foreign mission field because I'm not going to live like that. You chose her You didn't choose me. And it is true that millions have come into the kingdom because of your ministry. It is true that millions have been saved and millions of others have saved others but you are in the kingdom, but you've lost all your rewards.

So he went in, not having worked for eternal value. And then another person walked up. It was an old lady. She was Cara haggard, and not looking so good and she walked up to the judgment seat of Christ. And there at the judgment seat seat, she presented her works. And Christ took them and a few of them burn.

She had wood hand stubble to just like the minister had all wood, hay and stubble. She had a little wood, hay and stubble but when her work is finished Burning. What was left was stacks of gold and silver and precious jewels. For even though she had not written a book, she had not been on television. She had not spoken for great conferences. She had done nothing except loved God.

And everything she did was for His glory. Yes, it edified people. But it was for the glory of God. All five crowns that we can get to the judgment were placed on this woman. And she was able to go in rejoicing because God said You are my good and faithful servant. Rick stood there with his turret and as he stood there he was waiting on To tell him to come up.

And he stood up he, I mean, Jesus, he was looking at Jesus. And as he looked at Jesus, there was no response. There was nothing, nothing, nothing. And when he looked at Jesus, he thought in his mind, please, please judge me, please judgment. And then he woke up. That's when I started crying.

I was bawling. Because I'm thinking, Lord, I've worked for you, or at least I thought I had worked for you all these years. Wouldn't it be awful, a tragedy to get to the judgment seat of Christ and lose everything? Because I'm working for me. As a mentor, I tell the women with whom I work and some of the man don't believe the hype. People come to you and tell you how great and wonderful you are, how special you are, how good you were.

Don't believe the hype. The only way to really get into the kingdom of God and to live in the glory of God here is to walk unbeli before him. Unbelievable before him. And I know in many churches, people get upset because their name is not in the bulletin when they've done something. they've not been acknowledged as being the leader of this and the whatnot of that. And the someone saw this.

If you It's nice to be acknowledged, it is. But if you're working for that, you will be just like that minister. All your works will be wood, hay, and stubble. They will burn up at the judgment seat of Christ. And my prayer has been every day, Lord. Help me to walk In the pathway of duty, loving you, seeking you, praying it, Lord, help me to be this Romans 12 person.

I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, the God, which is your reasonable service. And don't be conformed to this world, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That's my prayer every day. I might say it verbally, I might say it in my heart. But Everyday I'm saying, Lord, don't let me worship myself. Let me worship you.

I want to work for eternal value. And then S. It's almost obvious for SS. S is success. How do you spell success? Do you spell it with cars and things And jewels now I like stuff. Yeah.

I like stuff. I like stuff. Okay, I really do. I wear a lot of stuff. Okay, that's planned that way. Okay, I've taken some of my stuff off.

But I don't worship stuff. I know I don't worship stuff. You know why? Because I went through a time when I'm having no stuff in writing. I went through a time where I might have had to sell my stuff. Because I went from making six figures to no figures in six weeks.

I believe that. And then during that time, the Lord told me, give away all your clothes that I tell you to. I was mad at God. I was so upset. I know what you're talking about. Do you ever talk to Jesus like that?

What's your dog, my Jesus, okay. I don't want to do that. I don't want to do that. But he said I am not pleased with you. So I walked to all of my closets. With tears streaming down my face, I took my clothes out some still had the tags on them.

And I laid them on a mountain on my bed. And finally, when I got through, I said, God, what can I keep? He said anything that has a bead on it. Okay? And things to speak in. But don't give away anything you wouldn't wear.

Whoa, how about that? And so reluctantly, and angrily I took stuff out, put it on the bed. And when I got through doing that, I said, Okay, God, who do you want me to give them to? What do you want me to do with it? He gave me three names. And I call those people and ask them would you like to come over?

I need to get my clothes away. And they came over and they said, you mean you don't mind wearing your clothes? I said, No, you got to wear my clothes. I can't wear them anymore. Okay, guys, not gonna be wearing them anymore. gave them away and as soon as I was obedient to God look like suffering lifted off me.

And my tears turned from tears of regret, like I won't muster. Okay? to tears of joy because of obedience to God's command. You see as a mentor, or as a mentor, a, God will even tell you to do some things that make no sense. You know that no, you alright? But as the mentor, you must encourage people to get close enough to God to get close enough to his son Jesus, to get close enough to the Holy Spirit of God so that they will hear him speaking in their hearts in their minds.

I have never heard God speak audibly to me. Never. Never. But I tell you what, I know when he speaking. I can feel him brown burning on the Altamaha. I know when he's speaking, because he never speaks anything that's contrary to his word.

Always. When he speaks, he brings peace, sweet, peace on describable Peace. Peace Did you can't stand them, not Can you share with anybody? Have you ever tried to describe peace? He said, I give you peace that you cannot understand. So when you are mentoring people, love them enough to tell them the truth and love them enough to let them know.

It's okay. To be obedient to God, what ever he tells you to do. Let them know that they can't hear them until they have a relationship with him. It's not about religion. It's about relationship. And Jesus and I have a wonderful relationship.

I just kind of an embed and embarrassed to tell you were in the bathtub. I mean, I do I close the door I put candles on, it's on that. I listen to music, and I communicate with him. And he has told me some very interesting thing he told me in November 2005, I'm going to teach you how to really pray for one year. First time he'd ever given me a timeframe in my life. I'm going to teach you how to really pray for one year.

And after that, I will release you to pray for kings and queens of the nations. And I thought, Oh, that is so good. I'm so special. God's got this big. How to pray. I mean, he's got literally this me.

That is so wonderful. Sometimes we get cocky, you know? Aha, we think we a whole lot better than we are. W the hype that we give ourselves. I had no idea what he meant. But I went through nearly two years of sickness and disease.

And, but during that time, he taught me how to really pray. He taught me the praying the Word of God is the way to pray, pray the Word of God. Trust the Word of God. speak the words of God. He taught me how to pray, and I'm still not through learning. For everyday is a new experience that every day is something that God can share with me that I didn't know yesterday.

If you're going to be a mentor, if you're going to be a mentor, even you got to understand that the words of God are true. His Word is yea yea and nay names There are things that God cannot do. One of them is that he cannot lie. He cannot go back on his word. So you need to understand that what can he do? He can do anything but fail.

You see, what can you do? He can heal your body. When the doctor says it's over. In fact, on December 16 2005, my family was called in to say goodbye to me. I was on life support. I'd had the second surgery.

I was on life support. My lungs had collapsed. All my vital organs were dying. And they came in to say goodbye. But I had some brand folks, some folks whom I had mentored, my family, admitted my children, my daughters, they were praying and they were saying, No, God, no God. Now I'm gonna tell you this.

If I had died, I would have won. You know that, don't you? Yeah, yeah, that was a win win. situation. That's right. But God was not through with me yet.

So he kept me here. So I could be here with you today. So I could come into your churches and talk to you. He left me here. So I could say to you, it ain't over until it's over. And we need to let people know that they don't have to believe the law of Satan that says, You can't do this.

You shouldn't do this. Why are you trying to do this God, God will sustain you while he are he sustained? Yes, he does. And guess what? I didn't even lose much weight. I'm standing here today completely cancer free, completely cancer free.

So what I'm saying to you is, I didn't know how he was going to teach me how to pray. I didn't know I was going to have to go through the valley and the shadow of death. But I can tell you this of assurity this joy that I have the world didn't give it And the world can't take it away. This joy that I have allowed me to walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear, no evil. I was never afraid of cancer. I can't say nothing to God.

Okay, that's why he made you can heal you Hello. I was not afraid out. Let me tell you the truth though. You gotta be honest when you're mentoring. I was not afraid of cancer. But I got so sick of being on that bed.

I was bedridden for about two and a half months, couldn't do anything for myself. And I started doing exactly what you tell your mentor reason not to do. I started whining and complaining and behaving like a victim. And I said, God, Will I ever be able to pick up any paper off the floor I can't divert the whole Bible again. As she said I could no never maybe look at my grandchildren. My children ever come over to dinner.

Yes, I would like to cook something for them. I would like to have some my own good food. I did. I was upset. You know why? Cuz I didn't have any control.

How many of you are control freaks? Hello? Mm hmm. Yeah, we all are to an extent. I was out of control. There was nothing that I could do you see.

So I did that for almost a week. I just remember just getting really, really down. And then I remember it. Now, if somebody was talking to you, like you're talking to God, and you were mentoring them, what would you tell them? Oh, goodness. That's right.

That's right. That's right. I would tell them I would pray with with them, and I tell them get over. Okay? You don't have clinical depression, you don't need no pills. You have situational depression.

Okay, that's what I would say. And I would tell them the same things that I've said to you. Be aware of who you are eliminate the negatives work for each value. That's success. I would tell them all those things. And I said, Okay, someone else says, You are so cool.

And you could tell them that why don't you practice what you preach? I had to talk to myself. That wasn't enough for God, though. He said, Now you need a weapon. Now I didn't say Oh, we've been our spanking. My grandma, do you say I'm gonna give you a walker.

So one morning, I will always remember this. It was about 3:10am. I was just getting up and was able to maneuver myself to the house a bit. And God led me into my living room. And when he led me into my living room, I heard him speak in my spirit. Never heard him speak audibly, but I heard him say this Stop being stupid.

I didn't even know God would talk to you like that. And I thought, thank God. He wouldn't talk to me like that. But then he said, Stop being stupid. And then he asked me a question. He said, Who are you?

Same question I asked you. But he did allow me to answer that question. He answered it for me. And then he said, Who am I? He didn't allow me to answer that. He said, I am the God who suffered, bled and died for you.

I got up with the keys to your situation in my hand, take these keys and walk through the door. I knew what he was talking about. He was teaching me and then he said, Stop worshiping yourself. And I'm like, I don't worship myself. worship you and you only and twice. He said it again.

Stop worshiping yourself. As a god, I don't know what you mean. I don't think I worship myself. I worship you. I love you. Tell me what you mean by that.

And in my spirit, I heard him say, when you take your problems into your own hands and try to work them out, what do you don't trust me to be able to deal with what you're dealing with. When you try to control the things in your life, you are worshiping yourself and I will have no other gods before me. With a plate on my stomach, it was about that round trying to hold my stomach together, because I didn't tell you but my stomach had burst and all my intestines have come out with a plate on my stomach earlier on my stomach and I said Lord, about For you, and I, again submit myself to you. And I repent, oh God, of worshipping myself. And I don't want to do that. I don't want to be guilty of that.

So Holy Spirit, you are my God. Every time I began to worship myself, would you just punch me? And let me know? Everyday he says because you know, we do that every day because we'd have something to worry about we think, or something to try to manage ourselves. But I want you to know that you don't have to do that. Jesus paid it all.

Oh to him. We'll Santa's left is Crimson state, but he watched. He watched it. He watched it. Ya know? You are going to encourage, inform, inspire, empower people, with your lives, with your words, with whatever God has given you, then you got to know who you are.

I wonder if you could answer today. I wonder if you could say, I am a child of the Most High God, can you answer that? Can you ask that? Who are you today? I'm a child of the Most High God. And he has given me a mandate.

The mandate is to go into all the world and compel men and women, boys and girls to come to Jesus. That's our mandate. That's our commission. If you understand that, that eliminate the negatives around you that will cause you to not feel that mandate. Oh, I know people might have said you're incapable. You don't have enough education, you've got too much education.

You live in the wrong place, or you live in a more affluent place, or whatever they say. But God is already said, I've annoyed at you and appointed you for such a time as this. Trust me Don't trust all that other stuff. Yeah, yeah. And then work, not to be glow glorified by men, but to be glorified by God. work just like the woman with the alabaster box.

She came into Jesus. And she had noticed his feet as she dried his feet with her hair. People around was saying Why are you doing that? That doesn't make sense. Oh, that's so costly. What are you doing but she knew She was, and she knew in Holmes laws presence, she was.

And she graced Jesus himself by honoring him and worshiping Him, and loving on him and allowing him to accept her. I stand before you today, maybe you have never wanted to mentor, maybe you've never been a mentor. Maybe not. But I say this to you, that Jesus is that he wants you if you don't know him to come into His kingdom. JOHN 316 says, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. So I invite you, if you don't know him today, I invite you to come to the feet of Jesus and just kneel before For him, I say, Lord, I want everything you have for me.

I want you to come into my heart. I want to live for you. I want to be able to help other people live for you. There's so much trouble in the world. And so I want to help people deal with their troubles that deal with their anxieties deal with their likes, and deal with their hurts, deal with their disillusionment deal with their disappointments. And God I realized today that I can't do it.

Unless you help me and unless I know you. So I invite you to come come to Jesus while you have time to come, come to Jesus. Make up your mind. He'll make your life brand new. Oh, he will take care of you. Come on.

Come to Jesus. While you have to. I invite you to go out and tell somebody about the law. Have God because I want you to know, he keeps his promises. He told me he was going to teach me how to pray. And he would release me to pray for kings and queens of the nations.

You know what he did? I went to New Zealand several months ago. And there was the queen of Tonga, mainly, and mainly turned to me as we will pray and said you, you are the one. Now that I am okay. She said, You are the one that God says we'll pray for my brother. My brother is the king of Tonga.

My father was the king and he loved God. But my brother is the king after my father's passing, and he doesn't know God and the kingdom is in distress. And God has said you are the one to break from I pray for my brother and bring him into the kingdom. Oh, listen to the voice of God. wrap yourself with the hope of God. Spread the love of God.

And you know what? You're on your way, right this instant to being a mentor are mentoree after God's own heart, he will help you and everything you need. Let us pray. Father right now in the name of Jesus, we thank you. We thank you for people who are interested in helping other people.
