Okay, in this video let's talk about singing. Singing is really really beneficial to your health, your well being your physical state of being and your emotional and mental state of being. And I cannot recommend singing highly enough I'm sure you sing along to your favorite things and on the radio and in the shower and but for me anyway, it's been really good to actually take up singing as a really regular hobby and I would encourage you to do the same. Singing has a number of amazing benefits. So number one, singing is like a really fun deep breathing exercise when you sing. You have to take quick and breath and then you have to sustain yet so Oh, So, you know, you're, it's almost like the breathing exercise that I showed you in previous videos where you breathing for, say four, hold for kind of eight and then breathe out for calf 16 that process of expanding your breaths slowly, and the quick in breath, and then the diaphragm ik breathing the whole lot.

It's just really good for pumping your lymph system. Your lymph system doesn't have a natural pump. So unlike your blood circulatory system, it's got your heart as a pump. Your lymph system doesn't so you have to stimulate it and you do that by exercising. Deep breathing and singing is a perfect deep breathing exercise. Or by doing things like rebounding, jumping up and down and so singing is just absolutely amazing.

It's really going to improve your well your well being. The other thing is singing is just such an emotional boon singing with other people in choir is fantastic. You get that sense of camaraderie. You're using your mind you're stimulating your mind. You're enjoying the beautiful music. So, yeah, I see an acquire for me has been fantastic.

I'm in a local Philharmonic choir. And yeah, it's just been such a joy to be in that choir for a number of years now. So, yeah, the second benefit is the emotional benefit as I say that, you know, if you can sing with other people, the the harmonies just lift your mood. You cannot really sing and be unhappy. It's really hard today. If focus you to stay, it focuses you on the moment, so you can't be worrying or stressing about other things.

Or if it forces you to focus, which is good again, it stimulates your mind it, you know, gets your neurons firing, especially if you're learning things. It's really good for memories that's about benefits, excellent for memory, especially for learning songs. So like when music was my book, So I'm studying at the moment, Mendelssohn's alijah. And we have in here in his book 102 hundred pages of complex choral music that I'm learning from Christmas concert. So yeah, you may not want to or be up to learning all that. But yeah, it's actually really improves your memory.

Yeah, it's just really good for mental stimulation. And the final thing is, it's just fun singing is fine. It's great. And you can learn a new skill. You know, if you don't know how to read music, join a choir and you'll be able to pick it up or you know, have some lessons. Or if you know, if you think that's too complicated, or you don't want to invest that much time and effort into it, just simply put the radio on, put your favorite CD on and sing along at home.

So to recap, we've got the physical benefits of forcing your lymph system to to work. And that's in the benefit of that is improved immunity. stronger. Yeah, better breathing is alkalizing it's amazingly alkalizing you're using your diaphragm so you're getting a deeper sense of breath. The emotional well being singing with others, learning a new song, the joy of singing the joy of music, the harmonizing if you're in it, yeah, if you're in a group or choir or band, or if you're just singing alone at the rate up to the radio, it's fun. It takes you out of your out of the moment and forces you to be in the moment of thinking.
