Well, if you have a look at vegan bodybuilding.com there are hundreds of examples of vegans who eat nothing but plant foods and have built a lean muscle and it's not kind of the kind of muscle that is bulky in terms of flabby muscle, I like to call it it's ripped muscle because it's high quality muscle. So you can 100% build muscle on this diet without shadow the day. You know, I've been running for years and I'm, I've got muscle. I've got good muscle. I'm not super super skinny.
I'm lean, but I'm not like a willowy kind of wasting away. I've got very good muscle definition. I've got very good strength. Yeah, I can do press ups sit ups got strong leg muscles I can run forever. So yeah, you can 100% build muscle on this diet. The key is to just simply eat more.
If you're looking to slim down like the vast majority of people are, let's be realistic. Most people are looking to lose a few pounds of weight at least, then you would just eat a fair amount and we'll look at calories and in another video, but if you want to gain lean mass, then you would just up your calories eating the same foods, you don't need to eat different foods, you just add more of the same foods. So you might want to add if you're an active male an extra 500 calories on top of your basal metabolic rate. Yeah, depending on your level of exercise. Again, we'll look at calories in another video but the key is to just simply eat more and you will build lean muscle
