In this video, let's look at alkaline vegan swap. So what I mean by that is swapping acidic, non vegan, standard Western standard American diet foods for alkaline and vegan swaps healthier foods. So, first thing is milk standard cow's milk for coconut or almond milk. cow's milk is full of past blood and hormones to put it bluntly, make your own almond milk easily and cheaply see the recipe in the recipe section that I've given you can also buy in supermarkets, but it's so easy and cheap to make at home. Coconut milk is very low calorie and tastes great with cereal and porridge you can buy this in your local supermarket. Okay second thing cheese on nutritional yeast.

Nutritional yeast as an alternative to standard cheese has a Nazi cheesy flavor without any of the, again the hormones it's not gonna be mineralize your bones by having to break down the casein which is the indigestible enzyme that we cannot break down without. So instead we're going to often roast them in coconut oil, or Yeah, cut them into little chips and put a tiny amount of coconut oil over them. They're great with hummus or any other kind of dip. And they're great dunked in tea. Plus, they're very cheap as well.

I can buy packs of oak capes, I think five packs of oatcakes for a pound which is yes, brilliantly cheap. One pack typically has around a pack of six small oatcakes typically has around 300 calories. So this is a great on the go mini meal. I find if I'm out and about if I'm between meetings with clients or I'm just finished the gym and I'm going to meet someone And then I'll take a pack of oak cakes that's a great go to on the go kind of snack or mini meal. Granola in a swap the standard granola for alkaline porridge, alkaline porridge, you can use coconut or almond milk use rough oats and coconut sugar or GAVI nectar, simple three ingredients heats it up job done. Don't use a microwave use the hub.

Low GI is low fat, no hormones are passed from the cow's milk and tastes it basically taste the same standard porridge you would never know that it's a vegan alkaline alternative coffee and tea. So you should swap those for horrible coffees and herbal teas. So the best tea choices, I would say are caffeine free such as peppermint, chamomile, licorice, red bush. These are teas that I have on a day to day basis. And that you can get some really flavor for herbal and alkaline coffee nowadays. 10 years ago.

Part of was getting into this and looking for coffee alternatives. You basically had a barley or chicory based product and they weren't that good. Now products like t Chino, they are really full of body really full of flavor and yet amazing coffee alternatives. But you can do it that way. You can basically buy like a one bottle kind of yeah size of kombucha which is already sparkling but it works out more expensive. So I tend to buy the core do add it with sparkling water and a dash of apple cider vinegar for a really wonderful crisp and refreshing alternative to alcoholic drinks great on a summer's evening. It's not overly acidic. In fact it's yes slightly alkaline. Maybe the sparkling water that okay that does acidify a bit but it's it's basically it's you know it's not acidic like beer and and wine is it won't give you a hangover obviously it's alcohol free plus it's very low calorie.

It's great for your stomach Flora to your your good bacteria it the the fermented the ferment from it and so the fermentation of the computer is really good for your intestines and will just promote that good bacteria in your stomach. And you can drink a few and not get drunk. Obviously, if you're dry, you know, you can drive on it. Again, very low calorie, typically less than 50 calories for small bottles. If you have three or four bottles, it's still 200 calories, you're not going to get bare belly. You're not going to feel hungover The next day, your skin's not going to go really bad because of the dehydration and acetate is created in your stomach for drinking alcohol. So yeah, a really good alternative to beer if you love beer.
