Hi there in this video we're going to make cheesy kale chips vegan, tasty, healthy snack. So making beacon couch chips is very easy just involves a few ingredients. So we have kale, and I'm just going to run through what we do right here because it's very simple. So you need to cut it into small pieces. Not too small, smaller. If you've got big leafs of kale, then remove the stalks, you want to wash the cow and thoroughly dry it.
So I've got two Two sips full of kale. And you also need half a tea, tablespoon of virgin coconut oil. Some pink Himalayan sea salt, some paprika, some garlic from a garlic mill some nutritional yeast now nutritional yeast is going to add the cheesy elements to your kale chips. Nutritional yeast is yet cheesiest not it comes in little flakes, low fat, high ish protein. So it looks like that. See?
So it's got cheesy flavor without the you know the nasty ingredients and the fats and the hormones and things that are in and the casing that are in dairy cheese. So yeah, dairy free, vegan. alkaline Full of B vitamins, which is great, you can get a version which is fortified with vitamin B 12 as well this one isn't, but you can't so it's a great way to get vitamin B 12 on a plant based diet. So what we're going to do, we're going to take the ingredients basically once once this kale is dried to dry this off. Then we're going to just basically add all the ingredients into a bowl massage or into the kale on a baking tray and bake for about 25 very low heat. So about I'm on about gas mark two or three which is about 300 degrees centigrade in the oven.
So very simple. So we've got our kale here, and we're going to now add all of our other ingredients. So coconut oil once about half a tablespoon So that's this is less than a tablespoon and I've done a little bit less than the filament so this needs to be actually melted so we're going to note that in a minute. Garlic. You want about half a teaspoon of garlic paprika. Finally, our nutritional yeast.
So we want A good couple of tablespoons, tablespoon and a half of nutritionally so the coconut oil just break it up and then we're going to use the heat of our hands just to melt that down. And then we just kind of massage it all over the chaos was really nutty, cheesy, garlicky, really nice. You could actually this ad is in a solid, very nice but it's it's nice to to make them crispy and into little proper kale chippies. So I think actually, I'm just going to add a little bit more nutritional yeast. That wasn't really full tablespoons. So one more massage that all in And then we're going to spread on the tray.
I'm going to put some grease proof or baking paper down. And then we're going to put this on the tray and into the oven. So here we have our kale. Spread evenly on a baking tray. You want to make sure it's just one layer thick. You don't want lots of kale piled up on each other.
So that's going to go into the oven for about 25 minutes. Okay, here it is. Final kale. Hmm, it smells absolutely delicious. Mm hmm. Cheesy, crispy, healthy, tasty.
