So in this video let's talk about having a positive attitude. And it can sound a little bit trite can't it you know have a positive mental attitude you had that well I certainly had that back in the 90s with a lot of hundred meter runner in the Olympics and things I'm positive mental attitude PMA and yay can get a bit nauseated hearing that. And like I say, a bit trite. I was in the positivity movement for many years and self help kind of yet keep positive, keep positive law of attraction stuff. Cut long story short, I've ditched all that now. Find Jesus to be completely honest.
With Jesus, I don't need to worry about focusing on positive things all the time. However, there is a middle ground, the positivity movement would say everything is positive, nothing's negative. And for myself, I knew that wasn't the case. I could see bad things in the world. evil evil in my own self, you know, bad things in me. So it was, you know, it's like sticking a plaster over a cut leg or a broken leg rather, in saying that everything is positive, everything in the garden is rosy, you just have to see it in a positive light.
That's not true. That's too extreme on the other end of the scale. And this is what I want to talk about in this video is avoiding catastrophe mindset and avoiding thinking, Oh, I'm going to fail and a good middle ground a good balance to strike is to say, to embrace a change of diet to switch to an alkaline plant based diet as the positive one in terms of an exciting challenge that you enthusiastically take on. So that's a different thing to being, everything's fine, everything's fine. Everything's fine when it's not. And owner, everything's not fine or everything's going wrong.
None of that neither of those are true. A good balance, as I say is to be middle ground. But more optimistic than pessimistic. So rather than starting this diet and thinking I'll probably only stick to it for a day and then it will go wrong and I've never been able to do a diet for my life, blah blah, blah mental chatter going on. I would say the good thing about this is that if you've tried every diet under the sun like I had before I kind of had done all my research and really honed in on a plant based alkaline diet. And I this diet fulfills those five things which are, it is simple. Anyone can do this diet. It's satisfying. You're enjoy eating abundantly, your taste flavors, the amount of carbohydrates, the sweet things, the savory things, the fruits, the the cook things, the roll thinks it's got a variation of foods and you will find it satisfying, it's sustainable. You can do it Three weeks or 30 years, it's super healthy, literally the healthiest diet you can get and systematized so with the five meals you'll be eating again check out the five meals videos with the five meals it means that you'll be getting predictable results a system gives predictable results so if you follow this diet you will get good results. So with that in mind that gives you something to be positive about in itself you you will succeed on this diet if you have even just a slight positive mindset Okay, so you don't need to be all i this is the best thing ever.
I'm gonna just really succeed because that will you know, oftentimes and you see this in relationships as well when people are far on like, wow, this is the process for me. I love them and it's like this new relationship and they're really full on and then it fizzles out really quickly. We've all been there, right? I know I have well If you just take it, take a step back, monitor moderate your emotions, you don't leave big highs and lows fluctuates up and down, just take a middle ground, but slightly optimistic. So the key is to remain positive without being super positive and unrealistically So, but positive to the fact that this diet actually works. This is not the Atkins diet, this is not some unsustainable diet where you fast to five days a week, whatever.
This is totally sustainable. It's delicious. It's lovely, it's cheap, it's affordable. All the benefits that I've talked about in previous videos this guy is, and I can attest to that. And thousands of people around the world can attest to that. From the emails I get every day of the week.
And just Yes, seeing people's results is always phenomenal and always really inspires me. So I've got every faith that you will be able to succeed on this diet. So please have that faith in yourself and have that faith in The best diet and combination to your faith, this winning diet combination will see you succeed. Now, if you fall off the wagon, at any point, which I talked about in another video preparing for obstacles, so please go watch that. If you fall off the wagon, or should I say, when you fall off the wagon, simply pick yourself back up, get back on the diet and continue where you left off. Okay, so don't go off than it will wrong and then go and eat McDonald's, or, you know, go to the nearest steakhouse, continue with this diet, please do it for at least three weeks and then then make an informed judgment.
So yes, that's having a positive mindset. moderately positive mindset is going to be really beneficial for this. And that that positive mindset from come can come from the faith in the fact that this diet really works. It's not a fad diet is a diet that is scientifically backed up.
