Let's talk about the opinion of other people. Whenever you start a healthier eating regime, it's kind of funny always makes me laugh because people suddenly become dietary experts, especially if you say you're doing juicing or smoothie diet or a detox or going vegan or changing to an alkaline diet, anything it genuinely is more positively healthy. All of a sudden, people become nutritional experts and wants to condemn it all. You know, you can't get enough nutrients, just eating having smoothies, or there's too much sugar and juices are you can't get all your nutrients from a vegan diet. And a lot of this is based on fear, a fear that you're going to be moving away from them. So people are like sheep, they want you in your little in their heart.
And as soon as you go Hold on, I think there's a better way over here that there's a better field and wander out of your of this field from the herd, you become a threat so they want to just drag you back. Down, drag you back in the day. So just be aware of that people will have an opinion when you say you're switching to a plant based diet, you know, even if it is for three weeks or however long you want to do it, people will have an opinion about it. So you just need to a great way to overcome this is just to graciously say, Well, you know, that's interesting, thanks for your opinion, but and don't just don't get bogged down by it, just move on, let it wash over you don't, don't internalize it, just keep it on the surface and just kind of deflect any negative opinions, because the results will show for themselves.
You know, I'm 35 years old. I look in my mid 20s 10 years ago when I started this diet or Well, you know, I'd only been a year a couple years on this diet. People have an opinion about all you can't be healthy doing that and you know, you're not going to get enough nutrients and you're going to have no bone, muscle tone and whatever else you're going to get. Ill Well, 10 years on, I've got a lot of muscle, I run ultra marathons, skin's healthy, I rarely get ill. And a lot of them are overweight and look a lot older than me, and I'm struggling with energy and stuff. So just don't don't internalize people's opinions. And if anything, just maybe encourage them to give it a try as well.
Because the more positive you are, the more people will be inspired by that. And also, sometimes people just want to test you, you know, you're starting this new thing, or they'll just want a product and go, what's this all about? So they will test you and provoke you. And the more you kind of stand firm in your decision and what you're doing, the more they're going to be able to go Okay, there might be something in this rather than if you react and say what do you know or I'm not sure if it's going to work or, or just very cagey about it, then you know, that's not going to inspire them. So the main key points to take home is just don't take on board other people's opinions. You know, listen to them to a degree and then just focus back on what you're doing.
Focus on, you know, hour to hour what you're eating, what exercise you're doing, and not the opinions of other people.
