DESCRIPTION: So far in section four, we have explored the RIGAAR sequence, understood the importance of gaining rapport, and how a large part of that is being able to listen attentively. So, the next step is to ensure that while we are listening, we keep the conversation focused and learn the facts about what is happening with our colleagues.
Although you need information from them to be able to help them, keep in mind, you are not an interrogator trying to extract intel from an enemy, but a friend trying to help. So keep a soft focus.
In general terms, there are four aims to fulfill when questioning them on specifics.

Firstly, clarify their situation and clear up misconceptions, misunderstandings, and loosen any stubborn and unhelpful opinions
Secondly, gain valuable new information especially about their emotional needs and the use or misuse of their innate resources
