My objective is to not only make the concepts easier to understand, but also help you remember them easily for a long period. in that endeavor I'm sharing with you downtime. downtime is the acronym of eight wastes.

They are defects, overproduction, waiting, non utilized skills, transportation, inventory, motion, and excess processing. Whenever you come across waste, it would eventually lead to some amount of downtime. So there is no better way to remember these eight wastes using the acronym of downtime.
