Hello, it's Rob carbon here, I'm going to show you how to create a blog post properly. Now, this is going to be a blog post that will be noticed, because it's going to be epic in nature, it's going to be long, over 1000 words, it's going to include a lot of extras like subheadings, images, bullets, links, etc. So this is how to do it properly. And the alternative is to create thin general content of 500 words that nobody's going to read. So this is the content that will get you noticed by the search engines. It will get you noticed on social because people will share it because it's useful, and it will be easy for your readers and visitors to consume.

Let's get going. So here we are on the site. And when we go to blog, we see this very annoying Hello World post. So let's get rid of that straightaway. So we'll go into the back end. And we'll go under posts because if you want to create a blog post, it's under post.

If you want to create a static page, like about me or contact us, then it's under pages, but we're going to posts and why don't we just get rid of that one, trash. And now we've got no posts, so we'll add new. Now if you're creating a longish blog post, it's probably better to do it in some other program like Microsoft Word. That way you can correct the Spelling's, you can go back over paragraphs and rewrites. You don't have to, but it's usually what I do, especially with longer articles. So I'm going to select all of that and copy.

And now I'm going to paste it in. And remember the visual tab is showing there. I'm going to quickly get that title and put it in the top there. Okay, so let's see. On the title now. And it's very important that you get keywords in the title, and that the title is specific and clickable.

So what have we got here? We've got finding global suppliers of health and beauty items on Alibaba or Alibaba. So we've got several keywords in there. Now, if the title was finding global suppliers on Alibaba, it would be too general, there'd be too many other articles of a similar nature. In fact, that's search that just to see if that's correct. So we'll go into Google, and we'll search find global suppliers on Alibaba.

And we get several general articles about this. And you'll find that there'll be on very popular blogs like forbes.com. So let's search for The article title that I'm using now, and interesting enough that the first four organic results are Alibaba itself. So there isn't really an article with this title. Now, I'm not suggesting that this title will come up first when we get into Google after I published it, but it does show you how specific article titles will always do better on Google. So there's the title, it's not perfect.

I think it's a bit wordy. I could maybe take off global and have it finding suppliers of health and beauty items on Alibaba. I could maybe make items products Actually, that's probably a better word, a better keyword in this situation. But you'll have to experiment with titles. They're not all going to be perfect. Some are going to be right, some are going to be wrong, some are gonna get you great Google traffic and others your think are going to be good.

They won't work on Google. And some of them are better on social. Some of them are more clickable. This one isn't very clickable. As I say, it's a bit of a mouthful. But you could change and articles to be how to earn 10,000 a month by selling health and beauty products from Alibaba, that would be a more clickable title, but it would be less good for SEO.

So it's not an exact science. But as long as you're keeping it specific, and you're putting keywords in the title, then that's the most important thing. Now underneath the title, there's the permalink. This is very important for SEO as well as you want to include the keywords here. It's also good for your visitors so they can see the name of the article in the address bar, and it looks good. So we'll edit it.

And we'll take out the words that aren't specific to the key words. So a word like of the isn't helpful, it's not a keyword, I'm gonna leave that and then there and of course, we changed items to products. So it's very important we change the permalink to match the title there. So we okay that and we'll save draft. So we don't have to stick with that, but it's not published. So we can go back and change that I'm not completely happy with it.

But that gives you some indication about how you do the title of a blog post. Very important step. I'm going to leave it there and we'll go on to the contents of the article in the next video. My name is Rob carbon. I'll see you in the next video.
