Hello, this is Rob here from Rob cabin comm we are going to talk more about creating the content of the blog post now. So remember I said this is over 1000 words, actually, you can see it the word count at the bottom there. It's 1368. That's quite good. We're going to clean up the text. Now I've pasted it in from Microsoft Word.

And unfortunately, it's taken all the paragraph returns in between the paragraphs, so we're going to have to get rid of all those, I'm afraid. Okay, so I've deleted all those returns there. So you can see I've just got paragraphs and headings. I'm just going to go into the text tab on the right here, just to make sure there isn't any tags that are in there that shouldn't be in there. You get that sometimes from word, but this looks very good because Don't worry about this too much. As long as it looks okay in the visual editor, then that I'll be fine.

But just to show you that the heading to in Word has carried over to h2 in the HTML editor, that's what we want. The bullet points are Li tags surrounding each individual bullet point. And they are surrounded in turn by a ul tags. That stands for unordered list. And that's exactly what we need. If that was an ordered list 1234, then that would be o l there, and o l there.

That's the only difference between a bulleted list and a numbered list. It's unordered list and ordered list. But that's great. The links are there. Okay. In fact, there's a little problem in that all the links have come in as bolds as well.

But that isn't the end of the world. It's not an SEO No, no. So I'm going to go back to the visual editor now and work from there. Now what we can do now is Save Draft Preview preview always opens a new tab on your browser, which is handy. Now, the article is not published yet. But this is what it would look like if it had been published.

And it's a little bit boring. I mean, okay, we've got the subheads. Very important. The sub heads are h twos. And that adds a greater SEO kick because Google knows more about what the article is about because it knows what the sections are about within the article. It's got links, it's got bulleted lists, unordered lists, lots of more paragraphs and lots more content there.

However, it is still looking boring. And we are going to put some images in. So let's do that. Now. We'll go to free image supply. You could go to stock image library like Shutterstock, or deposit photos, but I'm going to go to pixabay dot com.

And I'm going to search for this this search for a shipping container because that's kind of what we're doing here. And that's a great picture there. Unfortunately, it doesn't really say shipping though, but what a nice picture for free, something better like that is probably a little bit better. Really quite good images here that's nice and colorful as well. Although it's a little bit plain. Well, we'll probably use a few.

So let's download a few. So I'm going to download this one which is over the size we need. We need something something of 750 pixels wide or something like that. The ones at the top you have to pay for and they do look a little bit better. So we've got those free images downloaded. Now we're going to go to JPEG optimizer.com because we need to compress These images so that they are a decent size, we're going to put the compression level right down to 45 and the photo width 750 and choose the file and get the first one and click optimize photo.

And as you can see, the image we downloaded from the photo library was very big 450 K, we don't want that on a web page. This one is 55 now, and that we can live with, so we'll right click and save image as and then we want to give it a decent title. It needs to have keywords in it. So I'm going to add some keywords which will give Google and other search engines a better idea about what the image and the article are about. Okay, so I have called that container port for supplying products from China to the rest of the world dot jpg. So that tells you what the image is about but it also includes keywords relevant to the article, save.

Okay, so I've got two more images. I'm going to do those two in the same way now, and I'll be back in a moment. Okay, so I've done that now I've got those three images optimized, and their size is optimized. They're just over 30 kilobytes, two of them, and one of them is nearly 60 kilobytes. And I've optimized their size. I've also optimized the name of them contain applause for supplying products from China to the rest of the world.

Many containers on a container ship for import export, large container ships sailing away from Shenzhen harbor in China dot jpg, so lots of keywords in there. So these are fully optimized and available to us in our blog post. So I always think it's good idea to put an image right at the top, maybe after the first Paragraph so we go add media at the top left here, upload files, select files, and let's get that one. So in the alt text here, you want to delete what's in the title. And you don't need a caption, but you do need an alt text. So put in alt text there that has more keywords in it different to the title of the JPEG.

And then down here, we want link to none. We don't want it linking to the media file that is not helpful. If you do that people will click on it and just, it'll open up the image in your browser window, they could stop reading the article, they could navigate away from your site, it's not helpful at all, so link to none, unless you actually do want it to link to something. And we're gonna keep it at the size we have it there. So we're inserting that into post and there it is. I'm going to put the other To in as well, in the same way.

Okay, that's done. There's one at the bottom, there's one roughly in the middle. And there's one on the top. I'm not saying that you should always do free images this way. But I am saying that you should break up your blog posts with images all the way through. And if it's a long blog post, like they usually should be, and this one is 1300 words, then you're going to have more than two or three images.

So we'll save draft, and we'll preview it. And there we go. There's the title, first paragraph, there's the first image, scroll down, starting to look better. There's paragraphs, bullet points, there's another image. Keep on going. It's looking nice bullet points and paragraphs and subheadings.

And there's the last image and there's the end of the article. So we're not done yet. But this goes a long way to show you how to create content properly. Of course, the contents got to be good. People have got to want to read the content. However, adding these paragraph breaks, the subheadings, the bullets, the links, the boats and tactics and the images and doing it all in a correctly SEO way will help you so much more than if you made this thin, generic content, which you haven't put so much care and attention into.

My name is Rob carbon. I'll see you in the next video.
