Step one, keyboard and mouse location. center the alpha section of your external keyboard directly in front of you. Next, position your mouse right next to the keyboard. whichever side you prefer. Most mice are either right or left handed, but some are ambidextrous so you can use either hand. Some people switch back and forth depending on their tasks.

Try switching once in a while, it will also give your primary hand arrest. If your keyboard has back legs, make sure they are lowered. Because when the back of the keyboard is raised, it is more likely that your wrists will bend upward and create stress. A slight negative tilt where the front of the keyboard is higher than the back can help you maintain the neutral forearm wrist position and some keyboards and keep Keyboard trays are designed that this way. If you have a keyboard tray that provides a negative tilt, don't add a negative tilt keyboard to it, just use a flat keyboard. If you want to use the negative tilt keyboard on the desktop or on a static keyboard tray, note that it is much higher near the edge that is next to your body.

You must account for this additional height in step two. A full size keyboard one with both alpha and numeric keys. And a mouse with some space to move requires a keyboard tray that is at least 26 inches wide. The keyboard Pictured here is 20 inches wide, which is a very common size. You can see with a full size keyboard there is no room to even move the mouse the picture in the bottom right chose a smaller alpha sized keyboard and there is plenty of room for the mouse However, there are two Palomares taking up space, the design of the keyboard and the keyboard tray do not work together. The picture in the bottom right with the smaller alpha size keyboard shows that there's plenty of room to move the mouse and the designs are compatible.

Let's take a quick look at some keyboard sizes. The middle keyboard is a full size keyboard with alpha and numeric keys. This is the setup that most people are used to. The bottom keyboard is an alpha size keyboard and even though it looks much smaller, the overall measurement of the alpha section is only one quarter inch narrower. This is because there's less space between each key the top keyboard is also an alpha sized keyboard and this is designed to allow the hands to rest further apart at a slight angle. To prevent overreaching and awkward positions, it is important that both the keyboard and the mouse are on the same surface are playing.

If your keyboard tray does not accommodate both move them to the top of your desk. If you mouse with your left hand, it is very easy to keep your elbow close to your body in a neutral position. But when you have a full size keyboard and you your mouse with your right hand, this may cause you to stretch and when you center the full size keyboard in front of you, not just the alpha section. This will create a slight twist in your body and right wrist as you turn toward the alpha keys too tight when you're in the market for a new keyboard I would recommend the alpha size keyboard because this allows your arms to relax at your side and it will fit into your computer bag. And if numbers are a key part of your business, purchase a separate numbers keypad. Both will improve your comfort and reduce stretching or twisting.

The last thing to do in step one is move both the keyboard and the mouse toward you and close to the edge of your work surface. This allows your shoulders to remain relaxed and reduce any stretch to reach the keyboard. And by moving the keyboard forward, you may be encouraged to maintain a neutral straight position in the forum's wrists and hands because there is no desk to rest them on. dropping your wrist and rescue them or any part of your forearm on hard edges. Like the edge of the desk puts excess pressure on your tendons, blood vessels and nerves. This is particularly hard on your mouse in hand, because it is stressed over and over as you move your mouse back and forth from the wrist.

Instead, raise the wrist from the neutral position, place the hand a little higher on the mouse and move it with your arm. The padding that is on some keyboards and keyboard trays is upon list. Though it is often referred to as a wrist wrist, the palm of your hand is the only part that can safely rest on this padding.
