DESCRIPTION: Our goal in this module is to understand the &ldquo;monkey mind&rdquo; and how the mind and body are connected through emotions. We will also be working on increasing the space between our thoughts, a place of no thought, and being in a place of mindfulness. This sounds like a conflicting place, yet they are one and the same. When you are mindful you are aware of the space around you, yet you have no judgment of it.
When you have no judgment or thought, you are the observer, you become mindful of the space around you and you are aware of that which does not occupy your mind. You are in balance. As your meditative practice grows, your mind becomes less spontaneous. it learns to settle and develop greater control over the process, not just when you practice meditation but when and where life leads you. You can let go even when you are enveloped in chaos and disruption (warranted or otherwise) leaving you with a soft balance between thought and emotion.
