DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the &ldquo;STOP THE WORLD&rdquo; exercise is to develop a state of mind without internal dialogue. This exercise while short is a powerful tool to get yourself out of your own way, clear the mind of thought and let your creative juices flow. Good things happen when we can access this state.

Raise your arms with hands out in front, palms outward, and Index and middle fingers pointing toward the ceiling. Keep your arms straight at shoulder height while looking at your index fingers.
Keep your eyes forward with a softened gaze as you begin to slowly move your arms to the sides, keeping them at shoulder height.
Once the arms are extended as far as possible while keeping both hands in sight and your eyes forward, bring your awareness towards the periphery and notice how your inner voice becomes silent.
