There are many tools such as meditation cushions, candles, oils, and music that can help add to your experience but it&rsquo;s important to note, that absolutely none are necessary to start. Each person's preferences will vary. Some people like guided meditations and others like the transparent silence of the practice. However you choose to meditate; remember, it is your practice.
Meditation Journal 
For the purpose of this course, I will be encouraging you to keep a meditation journal. Journaling your meditative experience helps you to look back at the challenges you have experienced and the positive changes that have developed through your practice over time. A reflection of your thoughts and experiences during each session is a great way to strengthen what works for you.
