DESCRIPTION: The Masamune-Bergman cyclisation is a rearrangement reaction that involves an enediyne being heated in the presence of a suitable hydrogen donor. The reaction proceeds by a thermal reaction or pyrolysis forming a short-lived intermediate product. This intermediate will react with a hydrogen donor, to form the final product.
