A really big part of the whole process of setting up and creating a high converting funnel lies in your ability to measure what's working, and what isn't. And the way that we do that is that we install tracking codes onto all of the pages inside of the funnel that allow us to measure the successfulness or not of that particular funnel so that we can make changes and we can improve the performance. The Google Analytics tracking code is the first thing. The second thing is your facebook pixel. Okay, so I'm going to show you how to install both of these codes. As an example, I'm going to do it in thrive architect, and then I'm going to show you how to do it in lead pages.

But every landing page software that you use, will have the ability there'll be a way for you to inject this code into the website. And it's usually super simple. Okay, so let's dive in. First your Google Analytics code in Google Analytics in the admin panel, you can look under here for tracking info. Under the property settings. If I click tracking info, you'll see the tracking code is in here.

So admin, property tracking info, tracking code. And this little bit of script here is the bit that we're going to put into the website. So if you just select it, and copy it, Command C, on a Mac, Ctrl C on Windows and copy that code, okay. Now, in thrive, there's two ways that you can add tracking codes into thrive. You've got a global way, and you've got a per page way. The global way, basically adds the tracking codes to every thrive page that you build.

And that's really good. If you are creating lots of pages under the same brand, the same business, and you want to track all under the same accounts, where you might want to add the code on an individual page basis is if let's say you are testing out a brand new brand, testing out a new business idea that has nothing to do with the main thing that you do. Okay, so, so if you've got that kind of uniqueness that you're testing out, do it at page level, if not do it globally like this because it's quicker and easier. Alright, so in the thrive dashboard in WordPress, there's this option here for landing page scripts, and analytics. And if you click the Manage scripts button, this is so easy. It's unbelievable.

You just literally click add new script and paste. So Command V on Mac Ctrl V on Windows, paste your scripts into there. You put you decide where it wants to go. Usually it will be before the head tag. So if you're not sure, just choose that. Some tags will say Place it before the final body tag in the script, don't need to know what that means, click the before head tag, and click Continue.

And that script will now be on all of the landing pages. So easy. Then every landing page will be measured traffic behavior, all of these things we can measure inside of Google Analytics. So that was easy, wasn't it? Okay, so now let's look at lead pages. Because again, this is it's not going to get more any more difficult than this.

All right. So if we're looking to lead pages, this is an opt in page inside of LeadPages. In up here, we've got this page tracking option on the left. If we click that, we've got our SEO settings. And we've got an analytics tab up here. Okay.

So if we click the analytics tab, head section, tracking code, and there there is you can see this is a live alive opt in page, so I won't alter any of this. But you can see the facebook pixel code is in there. And the this is the Google Analytics, Google Analytics code here. Okay. So you copy and paste it your codes into there. And save and update.

And that's it. That's the first part of setting up analytics. The next thing is the facebook pixel. The process to do this is exactly the same inside of your Facebook dashboard. do use this little hamburger menu to show me all tools, click the pixels, gone into details and setup. manually install the code yourself and here's your code, copy that code.

So automatically copied it to the clipboard for you. And then you just paste that code into either the thrive architect or the lead pages setting in here. just shown you paste it into there and save and you're done or whatever landing page tool you build. That's the code that you pop in. So a useful little tip is I have an Evernote set up with Facebook and Google Analytics tracking codes in so that when I'm developing pages for a funnel, I can just pop the codes straight in without this rigmarole of going inside of your account and finding it and all of that kind of stuff. And that's your tracking pixels installed.
