Before we dive into the assignment, thank you so much for watching. I love helping other artists and designers market themselves in a way that isn't too overwhelming, because we all know how stressful and overwhelming it can be. But that still gives you the most bang for your buck. So if you liked this class, please give it a thumbs up and leave a review. This really helps this video get found so that other designers can also benefit from it. Okay, now let's dive into your assignment.

So, the first thing is to choose one day in your week for marketing and block it off on your calendar, set an alert or reminder so that you don't accidentally forget and you know, if you get in a zone and forget that this is your marketing day. So write down 123 platforms to focus on include at least one search based platform. I recommend Pinterest you can if you're if writing As your thing you can do blog posts via Google. Or if you are better in front of the camera, then I would suggest being on a platform like YouTube. Install keywords everywhere and research three to five topics in your niche. Then create an outline for the content that you want to present.

This is just going to kind of help get your juices flowing, you can really dive into it on the day that's reserved for marketing. But this will help give you sort of an outline on how to go about your day. Create a vertical template at 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. This will fit precisely into your Instagram stories. I'm just assuming that you're on Instagram stories. If you're not you probably should be.

But this is just a great way to repurpose and reuse this image for Pinterest for blog posts for any other platform that benefits from vertical images. So I would also recommend creating a horizontal template. This is going to be really great for Facebook, the dimensions really end up or will depend on the platform that you end up using. But I would say a horizontal or a square template. If you're wanting to post in the Instagram feed, you could do a square template as well. Next is brainstorm some post ideas that all revolve around the same niche.

There's a quote that saying there's riches and niches and niching down is really going to help you focus it's going to help your audience understand what you are an expert in, and it's going to help you gain traction on the amount of people that are following you and paying attention to what you're putting out into the world. So I recommend practicing recording yourself on QuickTime I would say five to 10 times before going live. going live is one of the things that I mentioned in my top 10 recommendations but I know that it is nerve wracking. So, you want to practice just seeing yourself on video talking to the camera before you go live, the more times you do it, the less nervous that you'll be and the more comfortable that you'll be. So just practice on quick time. You know, however many times it takes before you feel comfortable hitting that live button.

Identify five artists in a similar style that you can, you know, sort of regram or share posts from when you are in a bind. It just helps to kind of start and excel list on you can link to their website or to their Instagram, or to their Facebook post, or page, whatever you want to do, but I would just have those resources in the bank so that if you need something to post, you can just pull from that rather than you know panicking and posting something that you really regret or you just not having anything to post that day. Next is identify a scheduling system for the platforms that you want to be on the most. For Pinterest, I recommend using tailwind. That's a great scheduler for Instagram, I would use later or plan aliy. And then blog posts, YouTube videos and Facebook posts allow you to schedule natively so that you can really, you know, get a good amount of posts in the bank and then just schedule it to post three times a week daily, like whatever you can manage.

My next recommendation for your assignment is to take some selfies and natural light or hire a photographer, sometimes you can find a student photographer that's willing to you know, take photos of you some really great professional photos for you know, a very cheap price because they are just starting out and they might need some images for their portfolio. And you know, you should be able to find someone in your area but if you really can't afford it, then just take some selfies and natural light and create a Think of images to use later for your marketing purposes. This goes back to my tip on showing your face and giving your audience a personal touch you guys thank you so much for watching my video. I out of it.
